April, 2003

April 4th, 2003, 12:29 a.m. - Waaaah

Can it be May yet? I'm sick of school.

April 6th, 2003, 9:34 p.m. - Oh, dear

My Black Church in America professor is INSANE. We have to read 750 pages for an 8-12 page paper. I'm going crazy! If I have to read one more page about the black church's involvement in the Civil Rights Movement, I will cry.

Actually, I'm going to cry for a different reason: my worship team is playing at a preview day tomorrow morning at 8 FREAKING A.M. Yeah. We'll all be awake for that, I'm sure.

April 7th, 2003, 4:01 p.m. - Let it...huh?

It's April. It's snowing. NOT RIGHT!

April 9th, 2003, 12:33 a.m. - I'm a dork, again, some more

I chipped one of my front teeth on a Hershey's chocolate egg. The bottom of the tooth was already thin (don't ask; I don't know) and it didn't hurt, but it was very strange. And it's not straight, so it looks a little weird. I don't think anyone's noticed, though. Darn you, Hershey's! Darn you, Easter candy! Except Cadbury's chocolate creme eggs. I could never be mad at them.

April 10th, 2003, 7:46 p.m. - Pro and con

One month till my birthday!

Grr. I can't get my tooth fixed until May 13th because I couldn't get an appointment the weekend I'm home for Easter. So I have to live with the chip for another 33 days. Wonderful.

In other news, I've managed to re-hook Kari on Buffy. (Insert maniacal laughter here.)

April 13th, 2003, 2:04 p.m. - Senioritis is setting in early...

I've been such a mess lately! I'm just lazy and distracted and the Procrastination Queen. Also, I've been thinking about this guy a lot....

Okay, I need to go back to writing my paper on Machiavelli. Four days till I can go home for Easter break!

April 15th, 2003, 2:54 p.m. - Not the fun kind of lottery

Today is housing lottery day, aka the Day of Evil. I hate housing lottery day. I didn't do it my freshman year; Erin picked my number for me. I got a really bad number (two hundred something) but it didn't matter because I was rooming with her and she had senior status with the number 54. Last year I had junior status and managed to get number 16 - that's out of about 250, by the way. This year, with senior status, I have number 90. That's only out of 100. Grrr.

However, I now have a back-up plan, which I didn't have before. It's actually kind of funny. I was trying to think of someone I could possibly room with in case I didn't get a single. Most of my friends are in doubles or triples and have roommates. Rachel is getting a single, and I thought about making a back-up plan with her, but I don't know how well we would live together; we're friends, but we don't have a whole lot in common. Then I thought of Ravenna, but I wasn't sure if she was going to be a student chaplain again next year, which would mean that she already has a room. So I IMed her and asked if she was going to be a student chaplain and she said no. Then she said, "I was going to call you. We need a back-up plan...." Hee, we were thinking the exact same thing! So if, for some strange reason, we don't get singles (which is unlikely), we'll room together. I could deal with that; I want a single, but I could live with Ravenna. We have a lot of the same interests and I think she'd be easy to live with.

We pick rooms tomorrow, so I'm crossing my fingers for a Gallup single. If worse comes to worst, Ravenna and I will live in a Gallup double, which is the next best thing.

April 16th, 2003, 12:26 a.m. - It's all fun and games...

I've decided that, if I have to, I'll live in Hainer again. But I won't be happy about it. :)

There was definitely some screaming in my room this evening. I have a feeling some of the people on my hall thought that Kari and I were watching a horror movie. We were actually watching Buffy. Poor Xander lost an eye. He's one of our favorite characters, so it was really sad. And also really gross.

8:09 p.m. - Stupid Hainer! You go squish now!

Grrrrr. I have to live in Hainer again next year. Grrrrr....

April 20th, 2003, 12:59 p.m. - He is risen

Happy Easter!

April 23rd, 2003, 2:16 p.m. - Losing track

How many days left of classes? Shouldn't I be counting or something?

April 24th, 2003, 7:27 p.m. - Spooky

Aaron had a creepy dream last night, and apparently I was in it. (I wasn't the creepy part.) Very interesting.

April 26th, 2003, 3:13 p.m. - Birthday boy

Happy Birthday, Joe!

And that makes it just 2 weeks until my birthday....

April 28th, 2003, 10:07 p.m. - Anticipation

Last day of classes! Ooh, can you feel the excitement?

April 30th, 2003, 12:21 a.m. - Bizarre

Kari and I both had dreams about snakes last night. I think we've been spending just a little too much time together.

Today was Study Day, and I actually studied! I even wrote a take-home essay for one of my exams, and it's not even due until Friday! Go me with the productivity. I don't have any exams until Friday, so I could easily slack off, but I've decided not to. I'd rather get the majority of my work done so I can just relax.

One week until I go home!!!
