Like, barely anything happened. What did happen was mostly unrelated to the protagonist's quest. I feel like I wasted a week on something I won't remember reading three months from now.
The story was fine – nothing that impressed me that much – but I really liked how Kurian made the small town where it took place seem real. It was little things, like how they call the two parks the Good Park and the Bad Park. I also appreciated the exaggeration of purity culture, especially as it as in the mid-'90s.
This was a very satisfying ending to the trilogy. I'll definitely be reading more of Jones' books. I really like his writing. Hopefully, he has more characters as fun as Jade.
I must have missed the witty parts. Also the interesting parts.
