August, 2005
August 2nd, 2005, 2:01 p.m. - Oops
Note to self: the next time you want to talk about how cute the courier is, make sure he's already left the office.
11:53 p.m. - Stupid technology. You go squish now!
I think my computer knows it's about to be replaced. It froze around 10 p.m. tonight, just when I was half an hour away from needing it for a Real World recap. Fortunately, I brought it back and it cooperated until literally one minute after I sent in the finished recap. The computer was all nice and friendly for a couple of days, but I think it realized that I was really serious about getting a new one and decided that it had nothing to lose.
August 3rd, 2005, 8:58 a.m. - Speaking of that recap...
"The Day of Love" - the hardest thing I've ever had to recap
August 5th, 2005, 7:56 p.m. - Creepy...
Lost fans, check out UK ads for the first season. (BTW, the song is "Numb" by Portishead.)
August 10th, 2005, 5:34 p.m. - More sad stuff, but not as sad as last week
August 17th, 2005, 9:03 a.m. - First of three
"Go, Huskers!" - last night was...not fun
5:31 p.m. - And the other two
No more nights of three recaps! Nooooooo mooooooooore!
10:31 p.m. - I'm calling my lawyer
Dear cute UPS guy who delivers mail to us a few times a week,
You're mean. First you forgot my name, and then today you didn't even say hi to me. Are you just using me for my signature? We are so getting a divorce. And I'm not letting you see the kids.
August 19th, 2005, 8:07 p.m. - Rock on, Amazing Race
August 24th, 2005, 11:54 a.m. - It's that time of week again...
"High Tension" - man, I really should have called the ninth episode "Come Back to Texas." I can't believe I let that chance go by. And I should've called this one "My Boyfriend's Back." I'm so ashamed of myself.
August 27th, 2005, 11:33 p.m. - Whine
I want a vacation. Everyone gets to go on vacation but me. My parents are in Alaska. Everyone at work gets days off and vacations and three day weekends. I get...nothing. I've worked every work day except Memorial Day and July 4th for the past four months. Maybe I'd be happier about that if I weren't running around an office for $12.50 an hour. And I can't exactly ask for a raise, because my boss is trying to hire a new employee and he hates spending money and etc., etc. Freaking job. I'd stop whining for $13 an hour, I promise.
August 28th, 2005, 2:47 p.m. - Completely random thoughts
Who did Eugene Levy and Samuel L. Jackson tick off to get stuck in a movie like The Man? I like Eugene Levy as much as the next person, but he's really been landing in a lot of bad movies lately. At least we have the next Christopher Guest movie, For Your Consideration to look forward to. How long until 2006?
Why are they using that Train song in the commercials for Just Like Heaven? Why not...I don't know..."Just Like Heaven"?
The combination of reading Don't Eat This Book and rewatching Super Size Me means that I will probably never eat fast food again. No, seriously. I can't even think about all the stuff I've read in that book. It's enough to make me want to turn vegetarian.
If they kill Vaughn off on Alias, I'll stop watching. No, that's not true. I could never say that. But I'll be really mad.
New Karin Slaughter on Tuesday! That's my guilty pleasure reading.
Is Corinne Bohrer doing Chex Mix commercials? I guess Lianne lost that money she stole from Keith in the season finale of Veronica Mars.
August 31st, 2005, 9:01 a.m. - More recaps, as usual
"Wren and Skimpy" - this so makes up for all of my missed naming opportunities
