December, 2003

December 1st, 2003, 12:09 a.m. - Waaaaa!

I'm car-less. I was in a (relatively minor) accident on I-95 and they towed my car to Delaware. Don't know when or if I'll get it back. Good thing I don't really need it, at least right now.

December 2nd, 2003, 12:26 a.m. - Someone online is a genius

Our power was out for almost five hours. About ten parts of my body hurt from the accident. My refrigerator's making funny noises. But this makes it all better.

December 5th, 2003, 1:09 p.m. - I'm a kid again

Yeah, snow!

December 8th, 2003, 2:34 p.m. - Pro and con

I seem to be in some trouble here. I've been having problems with my shoulder since my car accident, and the nurse on campus can't even examine me because the school can't get involved in the insurance and liability stuff. She says that even if I go to a hospital, no doctor will treat me because the car insurance company, not the health insurance company, is responsible for paying the bills. So...I don't know what I'm doing. Basically, I'm stuck with a sore shoulder until someone takes pity on me and actually gives me a medical examination.

On the plus side, I have one regular exam and one take-home exam standing between me and a month of freedom.

December 12th, 2003, 10:38 p.m. - Jenn is babbling

I'm home for a month! Woo hoo!

Friday Five:

1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays? No. Very much no. Okay, snow's not so bad when you're looking at it, but I don't like going out in it.

2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect? My family's Christmases are just fine. :)

3. Do you have any holiday traditions? A few, but nothing that interesting.

4. Do you do anything to help the needy? Give money through our church, donate food, and sometimes give to the Salvation Army.

5. What one gift would you like for yourself? Possibly a new car....

December 19th, 2003, 12:21 a.m. - 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Oops, a week went by and I didn't say anything. I'll try to be better about that, but there's not much going on around here.

Friday Five:

1. List your five favorite beverages. Wild Cherry Pepsi, orange pineapple banana Nantucket Nectar, milk, Wawa fruit punch, Dr. Pepper

2. List your five favorite websites. Buffy Trivia (buffytrivia.proboards21.com), Television Without Pity (www.televisionwithoutpity.com), Fametracker (www.fametracker.com), The Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com), Two Evil Monks' Alias recaps (twoevilmonks.org/alias/aliaseps.htm)

3. List your five favorite snack foods. Sour cream and cheddar potato chips, string cheese, Teddy Grahams, cheddar goldfish, Chex mix

4. List your five favorite board and/or card games. Mafia (I guess it can be considered a card game), Uno, ERS...that's about it

5. List your five favorite computer and/or game system games. Don't usually play them

December 20th, 2003, 11:33 p.m. - I lurve my friends

Like I said above, I don't usually play video games, but tonight I played a little of some battle game (don't remember what it was called) and watched Cara and Beppe play Silent Hill 2. That's seriously the creepiest thing ever. It's like watching a horror movie. I'm going to have nightmares about zombies with legs for arms (or, as Lauren said, "legs on his legs"). Someone hold me.

December 24th, 2003, 6:12 p.m. - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve! I'd better not be getting sick....

December 25th, 2003, 3:19 p.m. - Though it's been said many times, many ways...

Feliz Navidad!

December 26th, 2003, 12:32 a.m. - Looking back, looking ahead

The year's last Friday Five:

1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year? My grades from last semester. They were spectacular compared to other people's, but I was proud of them

2. What was your biggest disappointment? It might wind up being having to say goodbye to my car :(

3. What do you hope the new year brings? A plan for my future and, as always, happiness

4. Will you be making any New Year's resolutions? If yes, what will they be? Probably not; I don't usually

5. What are your plans for New Year's Eve? Don't know yet. I'll let you know when I do

December 31st, 2003, 5:31 p.m. - Come back to the five and dime, my dolphin, my dolphin

'Bye-bye, car! They have to total it. So now I'm going to look for another car, probably a used one. I'm getting back a lot of money from the insurance company, so I don't have to worry too much about that. I would like my dolphin back from my rear-view mirror, though. :)
