December, 2024

December 10th, 2024, 6:14 p.m. - So she has no problem with Freddie now??

49. The Hungry Dark (Jen Williams)
I spent months looking for a copy of this, and it just...wasn't worth it. I liked Williams' writing, but the story was so flat. Very disappointing.

Up next: Model Home (Rivers Solomon)

December 18th, 2024, 6:34 p.m. - History repeating

50. Model Home (Rivers Solomon)
This was different from what I expected, but not in a bad way. The writing was excellent, and parts of it felt like watching something I wasn't supposed to watch, which I think was the point.

Up next: The Last Final Girl (Stephen Graham Jones)

December 25th, 2024, 2:32 p.m. - Merry Christmas, everyone is dead

51. The Last Final Girl (Stephen Graham Jones)
This was so creative and fun to read. I've enjoyed every one of Jones' books I've read, and I hope that never changes.

Up next: The Fetishist (Katherine Min)

December 29th, 2024, 5:10 p.m. - Shut up, Daniel

52. The Fetishist (Katherine Min)
I really liked this up until the end, which was not, as advertised, happy, at least not in my opinion. I'm all for forgiveness, but how did anyone earn it here?

Up next: The God of the Woods (Liz Moore)
