June, 2017

June 5th, 2017, 6:28 p.m. - Don't get struck by lightning, kids

18. The Last Night at Tremore Beach (Mikel Santiago)
Good plot, mostly good pacing, great climax, lazy denouement. (What? I was an English major.)

Up next: I See You (Clare Mackintosh)

June 16th, 2017, 6:32 p.m. - Maybe I was right not to bother with Mackintosh's first book

19. I See You (Clare Mackintosh)
I can't remember the last "thriller" I read where so little happened. And while I appreciate that the culprit was so unexpected, the "twist" on the last page was too unbelievable.

Up next: One Day We'll All Be Dead and None of This Will Matter (Scaachi Koul)

June 17th, 2017, 1:23 p.m. - Yay, another summer with Cat!

So You Think You Can Dance – Los Angeles auditions, part 1: I missed this show. I'm glad they're going back to the normal format, and that Mary's back. Now I have something to watch this summer that I know I'll enjoy. Rating: 4 jackets used by those cool Russian twins

June 24th, 2017, 1:19 p.m. - Not as interesting this week, but...

So You Think You Can Dance – Los Angeles auditions, part 2: Dustin has my favorite personality of all the street dancers I can remember on this show. I'm going to keep a close eye on him. I think he's absolutely top 10 material. Rating: 3 limbs that were basically dislocated, and really, I don't want to see that

June 25th, 2017, 2:09 p.m. - Excuse me, why does this only have 3.5 stars on Amazon?

20. One Day We'll All Be Dead and None of This Will Matter (Scaachi Koul)
Call me, Scaachi. We'll hang out and forget about the haters.

Up next: The Kept Woman (Karin Slaughter)
