March, 2002

March 1st, 2002, 12:06 a.m. - Here we go

T minus 14 hours until my Spring Break starts....

Current mood/state: anticipatory
Temperature outside: probably really cold
Listening to: Michelle Branch, The Spirit Room

March 2nd, 2002, 11:41 a.m. - Just kidding

Instead of going to Annapolis, Beppe and I are going to the mall. (How's that for a change in plans?)

March 4th, 2002, 4:39 p.m. - Stuff to do

Last night I went out to dinner with my gals (Beppe, Ellen, Cara, Kirsten, Lauren, and Lizzie) and today Kirsten and I went to the H.C. Westermann exhibit at the Hirschorn. My break has been surprisingly exciting so far.

March 6th, 2002, 3:38 p.m. - Oops

It's Wednesday ALREADY?? I feel like I've wasted half of my break. Oh, wait. I HAVE!!!

March 8th, 2002, 12:33 a.m. - Obsession

Whenever I get a new CD I wind up listening to it whenever I want to hear music. Which is why I've listened to The Spirit Room about 873 times in the past week or so.

I keep telling myself I'm going to write stuff this week, and then I never do. Can someone just hit me over the head and tell me to do it?

March 9th, 2002, 2:41 - Randomness

I just got my hair cut. That's the most productive thing I've done since Monday. It's kind of the same length as Jodie Foster's in Panic Room--I love her hair. Of course, that's where the resemblance ends.

8:14 p.m. - My mind at work

I just found this really cute online coloring book. Excitement! (Yes, I know that I'm five.)

11:14 p.m. - TV critic

If you guys get a chance, watch the new MTV show The Osbournes. It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Current mood/state: sad that my break ends tomorrow
Temperature outside: really nice, but a cold front is coming in :(
Listening to: guess

March 11th, 2002, 11:41 p.m. - Birthday girl

Happy Birthday, Megan!

Current mood/state: frustration at stupid computer
Temperature outside: cold, but it's supposed to get warmer later in the week (fingers crossed!)
Song stuck in head: "Hands Clean" (Alanis Morissette)

March 14th, 2002, 12:02 a.m. - Boring

If you're wondering why I haven't written anything for awhile, it's because...well, nothing's really going on around here. Sorry.

Quote of the day: "I'm the funniest person I know!"--Kim

11:15 p.m. - Springy springy

Today was SO NICE. The weather was great all day and I was in a good mood from the minute I woke up. (Well...sort of.) I hope it stays nice until spring.

Current mood/state: happiness
Temperature outside: not too bad
Listening to: Jars of Clay, Much Afraid (since Rachel has her door open)

March 15th, 2002, 1:32 p.m. - Yay!

Even though there was no hot water in the shower this morning, this day has been so great. The weather is beautiful and my one o'clock class was cancelled. Hooray!

Current mood/state: euphoric
Temperature outside: beautiful--weren't you paying attention?

11:34 p.m. - Possibilities

I haven't gotten a chance to talk to her yet, but Dawn told me that Heather is looking for a roommate for next year so maybe that will work out and I won't have to get a single after all....

March 16th, 2002, 6:24 p.m. - Say what's on your mind

I asked Heather about rooming together next year and she said probably not...because I'm opinionated. (Obviously she's met me.) Huh? What kind of a reason is that? I don't get it. However, she's still looking around, so it may come down to us rooming together after all. P.S. I'm not offended; she can call me opinionated if she wants to. It's true, after all.

Current mood/state: stagnant
Temperature outside: cold (boo-hoo)
Song stuck in head: "Come What May" (Moulin Rouge)

7:22 p.m. - Maybe you should just kill me now

I'm working on setting my schedule for next semester. Here's what I'm planning on taking:

POS214, Political Theory--11-11:50, MWF (because I have to take a poli sci course)
PSY318, Learning and Cognition--1-1:50, MWF
THEO210, Foundations of Christian Spirituality--8:30-9:50, TR (I said I would never take an 8:30 class again but I have to take a theology class and they're only offered at 8:30 and 9:00, so I don't really have a choice)
ENG230, Post-Colonial Women Novelists--11:30-12:50, TR (to fulfill my non-western requirement, believe it or not)
ENG347, Advanced Writing: Autobiography and Short Fiction--1-2:20, TR

Yeah. I'm crazy, aren't I?

March 17th, 2002, 11:52 p.m. - It's not easy being green

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope everyone wore green.

Current mood/state: happy and kind of tired
Temperature outside: cold, and it's sleeting (grrrr)
Song stuck in head: "Goodbye to You" (Michelle Branch)

March 21st, 2002, 6:47 p.m. - Possibilities

I might be getting a job! There's a man in Gladwyn who has a journal from 1840 that he needs transcribed, so I called him about doing it. I should find out if I have the job some time in the next week. It's interesting because I wasn't looking for a job or anything; I just happened to hear about it, and now I have the chance to do something interesting like this and make some money!

Current mood/state: contentment
Temperature outside: cool, but it was really nice all day today
Song stuck in head: "Blurry" (Puddle of Mudd)--don't ask

March 24th, 2002, 4:12 p.m. - Prepare ye the way

Happy Palm Sunday!

Tomorrow is going to be horrible. I have class at 11, lunch at 12, two more classes from 1-3, a break from 3-4:30, another class from (ug) 4:30-7, and rehearsals from 7:30-11. Gah!

Current mood/state: I don't know if I have a word for it...I'm just kind of here
Temperature outside: semi-nice
Song stuck in head: "Think for Yourself" (The Beatles)

4:51 p.m. - Mmm...Jonathan Jackson

Oooooh, yeeeeeah.

Insomnia

This is a jpg of the movie poster for Insomnia which, I believe, is coming out in theaters this spring. It's a remake of a Swedish film and is directed by Christopher Nolan, best known for Memento. Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Hilary Swank, and Maura Tierney star, but I'm mostly excited about the appearance of Jonathan Jackson, one of my favorite actors ever. Yay!

March 26th, 2002, 12:13 a.m. - Birthday girl

Happy Birthday, Cara! (Well, since it's past midnight, her birthday was technically yesterday, but whatever.)

Well, tonight (last night?) didn't suck too badly. We ended the first rehearsal (for our all worship team chapel in April) around 8:30, and instead of starting our rehearsal for just my team a half hour early, we decided to wait until our regular rehearsal time at 9. So Mary Beth, Laurie, Paul, and I all went to Wawa, which was pretty fun. Plus, we ended rehearsal at 10:30, so I actually got to sit down and read and stuff before now. In other words, it wasn't as bad as I'd expected.

Current mood/state: tired
Temperature outside: kinda cold, and it was just raining a little bit
Song stuck in head: "No More Drama" (Mary J. Blige)

March 27th, 2002, 6:21 p.m. - Anticipation

I'm so sick of school (and a few people) right now. I just want to get out of here. Thank goodness for Easter Break....

Current mood/state: tired and a little irritated
Temperature outside: not nearly spring-like enough
Listening to: The Beatles, Rubber Soul

March 29th, 2002, 1:12 p.m. - Hooray!

Happy Good Friday! I'm home until Monday--yay!

March 31st, 2002, 12:58 p.m.

Happy Easter!
