November, 2023

November 5th, 2023, 12:03 p.m. - Now I want to reread Several People Are Typing

46. Please Be Advised (Christine Sneed)
Who doesn't love a fun, fast read that makes you giggle?

Up next: Burn the Negative (Josh Winning)

November 12th, 2023, 2:18 p.m. - Killer ending (pun intended)

47. Burn the Negative (Josh Winning)
The story wasn't really my cup of tea, but I really like Winning's writing style. I'll definitely give him another try if his next book sounds interesting to me.

Up next: The Other People (C.J. Tudor)

November 19th, 2023, 4:46 p.m. - The girl in the mirror

48. The Other People (C.J. Tudor)
I like that this was written so it felt like you were being dropped into a story already in progress and had to figure out how things had unfolded the way they had. It was like solving a complicated puzzle. The supernatural-ish stuff was unnecessary, though. That made it too weird.

Up next: With a Kiss We Die (L.R. Dorn)

November 25th, 2023, 6:07 p.m. - 320 pages of me not really caring

49. With a Kiss We Die (L.R. Dorn)
If the writers hadn't written this as transcripts of podcasts, it would have been completely forgettable. As it was, it wasn't all that memorable. The twists and big developments they kept hyping up just weren't that interesting.

Up next: Opinions (Roxane Gay)
