The Nurses' Ball red carpet is mostly uneventful, except for Sydney Val Jean asking people questions about partners they don't want to talk about, Jordan and Portia avoiding the elephant in the room, and Sonny showing up just after Carly. Victor watches from his car, waiting for news on Lucy's location, while Lucy criticizes everything and worries that it's all going to go badly. Chase actually makes an effort to connect with Brook, telling her how awesome she is for her hard work with the ball, but of course freaking Linc interrupts.
So many sparkly outfits! (That is not a complaint.)
I love when men wear colored suits and tuxes. Connie's fashion sense must have rubbed off on Sonny.
Next time, we need more invasive questions on the red carpet.
Can everyone please stop lusting after Spencer? It's weird.
That's two red carpet trips for Sam. Maybe she should start showing up to these things late.
April 5th, 2023
Felix, Amy, Deanna, and other nurses (and T.J., for some reason) open the ball with Bill Withers' "Lovely Day," making Lucy admit that things are going to go better than she expected. Valentin gives Anna a private performance of some song he wrote, and they pretend they're at the ball. Josslyn and Trina do Maren Morris' "The Middle," ensuring that the ball will have performers for years to come. Lucy accidentally gives away to Anna and Valentin that she snuck out and went to the hotel. That plus news from Sonny (gained from Spencer) that Victor has been lurking around and is planning to leave town makes them decide that they need to leave their hideout. But Victor's minions have already located it, and they're surrounded. Victor has also installed someone backstage at the ball as he plans to bring along a traveling buddy when he leaves town. Brook's suspicions rise when she finds Blaze and Linc alone in a dressing room. Blaze rejects her offers of help, but she seems shaken. Later, Brook catches Linc talking to Josslyn and looks like she could rip his head off. Spencer tries to feel out what kind of relationship he and Trina have, and he's thrilled when she agrees that they've moved from friendship to dating. Now he just needs people to stop interrupting just as they're about to kiss. Cody suspects (like I do) that Gladys might be tempted to pawn a bracelet that Sasha arranged for her to wear to the ball. Speaking of Sasha, she's doing so well that her guardianship could soon be over, which means Gladys' access to her money will also end. Chase tries to talk to Finn about where his relationship with Elizabeth stands, which Finn doesn't want to discuss. It might be less about Chase bugging his brother to work things out and more about him wanting to know how he can fix things with Brook. Someone...stole a chainsaw? Apparently? Just wanted to mention that in case it's important.
Can we be done with the llama now?
Yay, they're doing songs people know again!
Morgan mention – drink!
This is going to sound mean, but I don't mean it that way: Tabyana Ali and Eden McCoy are both good singers, but they shouldn't sing together unless they're doing something that's been arranged by a professional musician. Their styles are way different and they just don't sound good together.
I will personally help Heather break out again just so she can kill Linc.
I continue to be greatly entertained by Chase and Finn's dynamic. We need more of it with the siblings on the show.
April 6th, 2023
Lucy manages to escape the hideout before Victor comes in and starts railing against Valentin for being disloyal and not helping him with the plans he's been talking about for a year and a half now and still hasn't made any progress on. He threatens Anna to make Valentin hand over the necklace, then says he's turning his focus to another Cassadine heir and he fires his gun at Anna. Brook gets Linc away from Josslyn, but he just vows to talk to her again later. After Chase and Blaze perform together, Linc starts making Blaze uncomfortable, and Brook just snaps. She takes the stage and outs him as a sexual predator to the whole audience. Linc doesn't think anyone will believe her, but Blaze backs her up, ready to spill everything he's done (and, unlike Brook, she's not bound by a nondisclosure agreement). Dante saves the day by escorting Linc off the stage, though it would have been fun to see everyone in the ballroom throw stuff at him. Cody inches toward telling Sasha that Gladys sold Brando's garage to Selina, but Gladys interrupts and sends Cody away. She tries to convince Sasha that Cody's not trustworthy, which I think makes it ironic that she then puts her super-expensive, supposedly highly guarded bracelet in the pocket of Cody's Wand outfit. Josslyn and Trina catch Spencer being snobby to Dex, so he's going to have to claw back all the good will he's built up with Trina. A singer named Danielle Ponder gives a stellar performance and also inspires Carly with how she left one career for another. Georgie and James do a cute magic act with Obrecht serving as their assistant. When they put her in a cabinet to make her disappear, one of Victor's minions kidnaps her. One of Victor's minions delivers a message to Spencer: Victor will be in touch soon, and Spencer should be ready to follow orders. Sonny wants to start a nursing scholarship in Epiphany's name, which makes Bobbie admit that sometimes he's a good person.
Victor's fake surprise at Valentin being alive was great.
Brook! Brook! Brook! That is all.
Danielle Ponder was fantastic. Talent, confidence, stage presence – the whole package. Of course Linc didn't want to approach her to become her manager; she'd never let him take advantage of her.
Lily King was great doing the magic act.
Finn has been here seven years already? Really?

Victor calmly leaves the hideout after shooting Anna, apparently unconcerned about the police finding him. Valentin gets Anna to the hospital and alerts Robert, who wonders, along with Laura, what Victor has planned next. Laura wisely realizes that Ace is probably involved, so she tries to call Esme. When Esme doesn't answer, Laura goes home, where she finds Esme unconscious and Ace gone. Victor summons Spencer to the yacht just as Spencer, worried that he's already ruined things with Trina, is trying to work things out with her. Though there's no word on where Obrecht is, it's clear that he's planning to flee town with Spencer and Ace. Lucy makes it to the Metro Court, planning to find Robert and tell him about the assault on the hideout. One of Victor's minions finds her, and though she puts up a good fight, it's fortunate that Sonny's nearby and can save her. Gladys makes a big deal about her bracelet being stolen, even though Sasha points out that she could have just dropped it. When it turns up in Cody's pocket, no one believes his claims that he didn't take it, since Gladys says he's been following her around all evening. Mac ends up having to arrest his son for grand larceny. Magic Milo and the Wands (who include Dex, Cody, T.J., and Yuri) do their thing, delighting the women in the audience. Bobbie gets some great recognition (and really old flashbacks) of her work at GH over the past 45 years. She in turn recognizes Lucy for all the work she's done with the Nurses' Ball. Even though she says nice things, Lucy somehow objects, and as she's fuming, she trips and finds herself on stage in front of everyone. Nina and Maxie are concerned about Obrecht's real disappearance, not just because, you know, she's disappeared, but because she's just hours away from her appointment to donate stem cells to Willow. Esme's overprotective of Ace, and Laura gently suggests that she try to overcome her anxiety, since Ace could be picking up on it.
Victor should really be moving faster to get out of town. Also, once again, the authorities need to always monitor the harbor when there's a fugitive.
What was that about off-loading Ethan for a price? Victor's going to...sell him?
Since I don't care about Obrecht, I didn't think about the significance of her kidnapping until hours after yesterday's episode. Still, I highly doubt they'll kill Willow off. Maybe Victor also kidnapped Nathan, and he'll turn out to be a match (since they're cousins).
"I'm not dead." Oh? You don't say!
Between running through the backstage area and yelling for everyone to clear out, her face when Lucy burst onto the stage, and her annoyed clapping over Lucy being alive, Kirsten Storms was this episode's MVP.
Sam: "Spencer, you're brooding at the bar." Me: "He's a Cassadine." Sam: "Are you just being a Cassadine?" Me: 😎
The girl Milo wished good luck is his real-life daughter. And I thought I recognized her yesterday but didn't get confirmation until today that the woman who did the guitar solo during Chase and Blaze's performance is Nancy Lee Grahn's daughter.
April 10th, 2023
Spencer doesn't appreciate being taken away on the yacht, and he really doesn't appreciate that Ace is also there. Victor says vague things about them being family and not needing anyone else, and that he's saving Spencer. So far, no one has noticed that Trina is also on board. Esme reports that someone knocked her out and took Ace. She thinks Nikolas was behind it, but surveillance footage of the building shows that it was one of Victor's minions. Nina and Carly are both concerned about Obrecht's sudden disappearance, though they haven't yet tied it to all the other crazy Victor-related stuff that's happened. Nina thinks it over, then asks Sonny to use his connections to help find her. Portia goes to Josslyn and Trina's dorm room to see her daughter, who never turns up, since she's currently being accidentally kidnapped. Josslyn confirms for her that Trina and Spencer are dating, which Portia isn't thrilled about, and assures her that Spencer will never intentionally hurt Trina. Speaking of dating, Sonny catches Josslyn and Dex together and reveals that he's known they were together for months. He's not happy about it, and he's especially not happy that they lied to him, but since Dex saved him, he'll let it go. Valentin doesn't want Charlotte to hate Victor for what he's done, but he also tells Robert that he wants Victor caught and killed, and he wants to be the one to bury his father. Michael and Willow are filler until Carly and Drew come by to tell them that Obrecht is missing.
Too bad the previews for the week spoiled that Trina was on the yacht.
It would have been more fun if Nikolas had been the one who took Ace, and it was completely unconnected to what Victor was up to.
How has no one connected Obrecht's disappearance to Victor yet?
HA! After all that sneaking around, Sonny has known for months that Dex and Josslyn are together, and he...doesn't care. What an anticlimax.
Wait, the ball is already over? I can't believe we didn't see Ned perform.
April 11th, 2023
Spencer offers to stay with Victor and do whatever he wants if Victor will let Ace go. Victor is fully convinced that the three of them are on their way to the perfect life, and they're never going back to Port Charles. Obrecht is causing trouble for Victor's minions, so he has her brought to him and threatens her loved ones if she won't behave. She spots Trina and distracts Victor so he won't see her, then makes it clear that she's not going to cooperate with whatever Victor wants her to do. Trina gets into Spencer's dead-bolted room and lets him know she's on the yacht and can help him escape. He doesn't want her to get involved, but the ship has already sailed there, so to speak. Diane goes to the hospital to keep Robert company while Anna's in surgery. She gets called away when Sonny asks her to represent the guy who almost killed Lucy, in hopes that he'll tell her Victor's travel plans. This works, but it's not clear if Sonny now knows where Victor's going or where he is right now. Nina lets Scott know that Obrecht is missing, and he becomes the first person to suggest that Victor kidnapped her. Despite his hatred of Sonny, he's rooting for the mobster to sort everything out and get Obrecht home safely. When Laura can't reach Spencer, she guesses that he's gotten caught up in Victor's mess, probably against his will. That means Sonny now has even more incentive to track Victor down. Jordan and Dante try to put all the pieces together and wonder if even Nikolas' sudden disappearance has something to do with everything going on. Carly and Drew break the news to Willow and Michael that Obrecht has disappeared and the transplant might have to be delayed. Everyone tries to be positive and encouraging, but Willow is secretly devastated. Esme's like, "As soon as I get Ace back, we're getting the heck out of this insane town," but Laura might be able to get her to change her mind.
Someone should keep better track of the Haunted Star. How many times has it been stolen now?
It would be fun if Trina got to overhear all of Victor's plans just because he doesn't know that she's on the yacht.
Spencer: "For once, I really need you to be a coward and not a superhero." Trina's face: "Too bad."
I'm guessing that part of the reason Victor had Obrecht grabbed is that he needs her help with yet another Cassadine resurrection. Ooh, or maybe he has Nikolas, too (I could see Mason taking that information to him in exchange for a ton of money), and needs Obrecht to give him medical attention.
For being the first person to connect Obrecht to Victor, I'm going to give Scott $5. Buy yourself something nice, buddy.
Laura also gets $5 for thinking that Spencer might be in danger. Good job, Grandma!
How does Ace get the descriptor "Spencer Cassadine's baby brother" instead of Esme or Nikolas' son, or even Laura's grandson?
"Only you would be thinking about everyone else instead of yourself right now." Yeah, yeah, Willow's a saint. Let's move on.
April 12th, 2023
Trina thinks that if she can get into the comms room on the yacht, she can radio for help, but getting in will be tough. Spencer tries to keep Victor from spotting her under his bed as he talks Victor into letting him leave his room and have more freedom. He promises to cooperate, though he thinks that Victor is afraid of him, which Spencer could easily use to his advantage. Laura feels a sense of déjà vu about the current Cassadine crisis, and she thinks her past experiences with them might provide a clue about where Victor is headed. Felicia helps her brainstorm, and Laura decides that Venezuela might be the destination. It's a tough country to get into, but Felicia knows someone who can help. Valentin takes out his fears for Anna on Portia, and Curtis comes to her defense. Instead of being able to ride that high, Portia becomes one of the handful of people in town who realize that Trina hasn't been seen since the ball. Slowly, Dante puts together that she's probably with Victor's other abductees. Willow and Michael are stuck in a holding pattern while they wait to hear about Obrecht, She confides to Brook and Sasha that she wants to move the wedding back up, but she's worried that Michael will think she's giving up. Gladys is eager to give the police her statement about Cody "stealing" her bracelet, and she doesn't get Jordan's hints that they're a little busy and she's, like, eighth on their list of priorities. With no one in his corner and no money for a good lawyer, Cody turns to Sam for help (and bail money). She believes his claim that he didn't steal the bracelet, and she's open to the idea that Gladys set him up. He won't tell her all the details about what this all has to do with, but he gives her enough to agree to support him at his arraignment. The show does that thing where someone's unconscious after surgery and one of their loved ones is freaking out, and then they wake up by the end of the episode. In related news, Valentin exhausts me. While filling Josslyn in on the latest Willow developments, Carly learns the inciting incident that made Sonny increase security.
Let's get to Venezuela or wherever already. I'm actually interested in what happens next.
I'm enjoying the fact that Victor thinks he's in total control of things and has no idea that Trina's there and is a wildcard who could ruin all his plans.
Spencer and Trina really need to use their indoor voices.
I'm not sure that Victor would hurt Trina if he found her. He would know that Spencer would turn against him. It's more likely that he would threaten her to get Spencer to do what he wants.
There's no way Michael will object to moving up the wedding, but if Willow needs another reason to talk him into it, throwing it together and then being newlyweds will take their minds off of a situation they can't do anything about.
Sidelining Anna from her plotline was an interesting choice. I wonder why they did that.
Oh, good, I was worried that Josslyn wasn't going to get unnecessarily involved in a major plot that has nothing to do with her.
April 13th, 2023
While Trina waits for Spencer to create a diversion so she can get into the comms room, Victor finally gives Spencer and Obrecht some insight into his big plan. His and Mikkos' attempt to freeze the world came from their desire to save it from all the damage people had done to it. They had a backup to that in the form of a pathogen, which is stored in some bunkers, the location of which is on the Ice Princess necklace. Victor kidnapped Obrecht, Spencer, and Ace to ensure they survive the release of the pathogen, and Obrecht is expected to make sure the Cassadines don't suffer any ill effects. Spencer quickly gets an idea for his diversion and puts a knife to Obrecht's neck. Jordan confirms to Curtis and Portia that Trina is probably with Victor, but tries to reassure Portia that everyone is doing everything they can to save the hostages. Curtis vows to get Trina home safely if he has to get her himself. Of course Michael agrees to move up the wedding to the next day, though he's going to have to work hard to stay positive and keep himself together. Willow asks Brook to look after him, because she knows this is hard for him. Jordan's annoyed that Laura and her buddies are leaving her out of the inner circle, making it harder for her to do her job. Because we all care what Sonny thinks about the main crisis right now, he tells Dante that he feels helpless because, like with Mike and Stone, he can't do anything to save Willow. Dante encourages him to reach out to Michael, and though Michael doesn't really want to talk, he doesn't fully freeze Sonny out. Anna's fine, I don't care about her relationship with Valentin, let's skip it.
Victor's taken 40 years to just get to, like, step 2 of his plan? Yeah, I don't think he's going to be anywhere near as successful as he thinks he is.
If they're going to do another pathogen plot, I demand that Jerry be involved again.
Diversion, schmiversion – Spencer needs to start pretending that he's on board with Victor's plan. That's the best way for him to get more information.
Trina's disappearance might be the best thing that could happen to Portia and Curtis' relationship right now.
April 14th, 2023
Victor calls Spencer's bluff, sure that he won't hurt Obrecht when he knows she's the only person who can keep him and Ace safe from the pathogen. Spencer waits until all the security guards are in the room before he backs off, then says he's ready to cooperate with Victor. Now Victor doesn't want him, and he'll now be treating Spencer like a regular old captive instead of a family member. Trina is able to get her hands on a satellite phone and call Portia. Laura helps her figure out the yacht's location, which the Coast Guard should be able to pinpoint. A security guard notices that Trina stole a walkie-talkie, but she still hasn't been spotted. Jordan and Curtis both want to play with the big kids, and Curtis implies that if Jordan won't let him help find Trina, he'll go through other channels. She guesses he means Sonny or Selina. Brook hands off wedding-planning duty to Maxie, because of course, and they discuss Chase, who Maxie figures will be ready to get back together with Brook soon because of what she did at the ball. Brook thinks that instead of thinking about their relationship, she should focus on helping him with his job. Finn and Gregory bug Chase about forgiving Brook, and then Finn and Chase bug Gregory about forgiving Alexis. Then Chase goes to a hearing to find out if he finally gets his job back, and Brook pops up to try to lend a hand. Sam counsels Alexis to be patient because Gregory might eventually come around and be open to her help. Alexis predicts instead that she'll never see him again, but to her surprise, he shows up at her office.
Yay, Trina! And Victor still has no clue she's there!
It says a lot that Trina called Portia. I probably would have gone with Taggert, wherever he is.
I'm going to need, like, a month to adjust to Maxie's dark hair.
I want Chase and Brook together, too, but Finn and Gregory need to shut up about them. Gregory putting pressure on him is no different from Alexis putting pressure on Alexis, so he's just being a hypocrite.
Yeah, Brook, you should definitely get involved in the situation you've already screwed up in multiple ways.
Whatever happens with Chase's job, this needs to be the final decision. This has gone on way too long.
April 17th, 2023
In Venezuela, Felicia meets up with Holly and they're able to get access to an auction organized by Victor. The only lot is Ethan, and the winner gets to kill him. Blaze and Brook both speak on Chase's behalf, appealing to the review board to let him prove that he's the great guy they know he is. Chase seems okay with whatever his fate might be, and he also seems like he's ready to make up with Brook. Nina is basically willing to be a full moll now, so we'll see where that goes. She's also deeper into her Sonny-is-really-Mike mindset than ever. Gregory uses Alexis' family crises as an excuse to offer his support and call a truce. She still wants to know what's going on with him, but he manages to convince her that he deserves his privacy and that their friendship is bigger than his condition. Everything seems to be back on track for them, but then he falls. Michael and Willow get Carly and Josslyn involved in wedding stuff, though what Willow really wants from Carly is for her to help Michael and Sonny work things out so there's peace in the family. Sonny may have made progress on that himself, because his attitude toward Josslyn and Dex combined with how he reached out to Michael make Michael feel like he's back to the way he used to be. Robert is annoyed with Sonny for circumventing the law to get information out of the guy who tried to kill Lucy. Diane reminds him that none of them are saints, then distracts him by pointing out that he said he would take her to dinner and never did. Even though they're in the middle of numerous crises, they decide to go out right then.
That's not Ethan! That's just some blond guy! (Also, way to ruin in the previews that Holly and Felicia win the auction.)
Everyone back in Port Charles is all, "We're doing everything we can to rescue the hostages and stop Victor," but Felicia's the only person I see getting off her butt and doing something. Take a lesson, everyone else.
If Willow wants Michael to fix things with Sonny, she needs to talk to Michael about that, not Carly.
When do we get to see Robert and Diane up against each other in court? I'm sure it won't be long.
April 18th, 2023
Holly and Felicia win the auction with a bid of $10 million, but when they can't pay up, Ethan goes to the runner-up. Fortunately, that's Tracy. The man running the auction thinks they were all working together, and things start to get violent, but the good guys take out all the bad guys. Our long national nightmare is over as Chase finally gets his badge back. Brook takes off moments after he gets the news (without explaining that she has to pick up Leo), so Dante is the only one there to celebrate with him. He gets the honor of giving Chase back his badge, as Jordan gave it to him with the confidence that Chase would be allowed back on the force. Gregory opens up to Alexis, revealing that he has ALS and there's very little medicine can do for him right now. He doesn't want to tell Chase and Finn yet, since their lives will completely change when he becomes unable to care for himself. Robert and Diane's night out gets derailed by a broken-down car, so they spend the evening fixing it and discussing why Diane continues to work for Sonny. (In a nutshell: She makes a lot of money, it's interesting, Jason made it easy, and Spinelli once made her feel wanted.) Diane gets blasted with oil or something, and she changes into a baseball jersey, which he apparently finds sexy, because he kisses her. Willow asks Michael to invite Sonny to the wedding, mostly for Donna and Avery's sake, so they feel like the family is still a family and they don't have to choose between their father and their brother. Michael agrees with her reasoning and says that his sisters are more important than his anger at Sonny. Brook tells Sonny that she helped fix Chase's problems by calling in a favor. Sonny can't exactly argue with that, since in his world, favors get you farther than you would get on your own. Brook mentions that Michael and Willow are getting married, unaware that he hadn't heard the news. Nina and Valentin catch up. Pretend I care.
Yay for throwing Tracy in the middle of this mess!
I will give the writers some begrudging respect for having Holly win, then lose, then having Tracy be the runner-up.
Who else is up for pretending that Chase's suspension never happened and we should just never talk about it again?
Morgan mention – drink!
April 19th, 2023
Spencer tells Trina about Victor's plan so she'll get how dire their situation is. She uses her stolen walkie-talkie to monitor the guards' locations, which allows her to sneak into the engine room and break something that will require someone to come repair it. Victor softens a tiny bit toward Spencer, letting him spend time with Ace, though it's mostly because he doesn't want to take care of the baby on his own. He catches on that Spencer has been causing distractions, and he tricks Trina into being in the wrong place at the wrong time and getting herself caught. Sonny tells Nina that Michael and Willow have moved up the wedding, and since they're only now hearing about it from a third party, it's pretty clear that they're not invited. Michael surprises him by asking him in person to attend. Since he's not allowed to bring Nina as a plus one, Sonny almost declines, but Nina wants him to accept. Ava thinks that if the extended Corinthos family really wants to be united, Nina should be invited to Michael and Willow's wedding, and Carly should work on smoothing things over with her. Carly notes that the guest list is up to the bride and groom, and also, no. She's surprised that Ava's able to be friends with Nina after what Nina did to her. Ava hints that she's not completely over it. She thinks that Carly should consider how much power she has in her dynamic with Nina, and how much more she'll get if she lets go of what Nina did. Curtis is anxious for an update about Trina, and Laura has to talk him out of bugging Jordan. A discussion about Esme, Drew, and memories makes Curtis think of a new angle to pursue in finding the Haunted Star. Austin and Elizabeth try to reassure Esme that Ace is okay and she'll have him back soon. Elizabeth then flexes her head-nurse skills by telling Amy to stop gossiping after she advises Austin to stay away from Ava and hints that there's a connection between her and Nikolas' divorce and his sudden disappearance.
Spencer, don't say "on ice" around Victor.
Ava, Carly's never forgiven you for the stuff you've done. She's definitely not going to forgive Nina. Let it go.
Also, Morgan mention – drink!
I swear, Avery aged three years since we last saw her, and it wasn't even that long ago.
It cracks me up a little that people keep thinking that Nikolas' disappearance is somehow connected to Victor's schemes.

Fed up with Spencer for not cooperating, Victor orders his minions to toss him and Trina overboard. Spencer gets a stay of execution by promising to work with Victor on his plan for mass murder. Victor knows he's just saying that to save himself, which doesn't count as loyalty, so he orders Spencer and Trina's deaths again. This time Obrecht talks him down, convincing Victor to keep them alive so she can use them as human guinea pigs when she starts developing a vaccine for his pathogen. Spencer isn't sure if she'll actually follow through with that, but he holds on to the hope that she's bought them enough time for someone to rescue them. Congratulations to Carly and Nina for having their 1,000th fight about the same topics they always fight about: Willow, Carly's failure to disclose the results of the DNA test, Sonny being caught between Nina and his family, and how much Michael and Willow allegedly let Carly make decisions for them. It ends badly, of course, and Nina may be ready to pull the trigger on reporting Carly to the SEC. Portia blames Spencer for Trina's current situation and vows to keep them apart when Trina gets back. Ava tells her that's probably not a good idea if Portia wants to reconcile with her daughter. She also tries to reassure Portia that the mistakes she's made were in an attempt to be a good mother. Curtis thinks that whatever Victor wanted Drew to remember about Operation Demeter could be the key to finding his abductees. Drew wishes he could help, but he doesn't remember anything that could be useful. He's sure that Trina is tough enough to take care of herself, and he thinks Curtis' anxiety make him sound like a concerned father. ELQ stock has taken a dive recently, and people aren't happy with Valentin for faking his death, even though it wasn't really for shady reasons. Ned finally regrets backing him and wants to oust him. Brook doesn't like the idea of moving against him while he's dealing with other issues, not necessarily because it's mean but because Valentin himself is mean and will probably retaliate.
Ooh, is Obrecht going to be the hero here? I'm intrigued.
Enough with the Carly/Nina scenes. They never go anywhere. I don't want to watch them have the same fight over and over!
Nina can't really believe that Willow lets Carly have as much influence over her decisions as Nina keeps saying she does. She's met Willow, right?
Ned, buddy, you sound insane. "I know Valentin's girlfriend almost died, but why isn't he making ELQ more of a priority?"
April 21st, 2023
Drew and Curtis look through some things of Drew's that Kim stored in case Oscar wanted them. They find a map and canteen embossed with the sign for Virgo, as well as a book of Greek myths. The map was tucked into a page in the book that mentions a connection between Virgo and Demeter. They take everything to Laura, thinking they might be able to locate the yacht. As worried as Spencer and Trina are, they find time to get a little romantic, and are about to get even more romantic when they realize that the yacht has docked. Sonny hopes that Michael's wedding is the turning point for the family to come back together, but Dante wonders what might happen with him and Nina if he's welcomed back in and she isn't. Gladys wants to take a vacation, i.e., spend a bunch of Sasha's money in a place that's not near Cody. Sam is very suspicious of her and wonders why she's taking the "theft" of the bracelet so personally when she wasn't the one who would have suffered a loss of money. Brook's torn between trusting Cody and trusting Gladys, but seems to land on the side of thinking that Cody was framed. Sasha, however, thinks Cody is lying, because she has no reason to think that Gladys would set him up. Alexis talks to T.J. about ALS but doesn't come away with any hope that Gregory will face anything but struggles from here on out. Dex continues developing respect for Sonny when he delivers documents to Kristina that will put her on the path to opening transitional housing for homeless teens. Molly may have endometriosis, and though Dr. Navarro doesn't say it on-screen, that could be an obstacle in her quest to get pregnant. Alexis and Laura discuss Victor's mess, briefly wondering if Nikolas might be one of his hostages. Laura has resigned herself to accepting that Nikolas took off on his own to avoid suffering the consequences of his actions.
Can't they use a tarot card to trigger Drew and find out what he knows?
Wait, Demeter was also the goddess of fertility? Why do I get the feeling that that has something to do with his plan to have the Cassadines keep society going after he wipes out half the population?
Okay, kiddies, let's keep our clothes on until we're back on dry land and have access to things like birth control and condoms. (Though it's a tiny, tiny bit funny that Portia and Curtis are freaking out about Trina, who's like, "Fear, schmear, I want to do it.")
Why doesn't Cody just tell Sasha that Gladys has been gambling? It's not like she deserves to have her secrets kept anymore, especially by him.
In case it wasn't already clear from her clothing and the way she keeps holding things in front of her, Sofia Mattsson finally confirmed her pregnancy.
I don't think I've ever seen a TV storyline about endometriosis. This could be interesting.

Laura, Curtis, Drew, and Robert put together that the Haunted Star is on an island off the coast of Greenland. The WSB won't get involved – something to do with jurisdiction – so they decide to handle things on their own. Valentin signs on to go, changes his mind because he doesn't want to leave Anna, then changes his mind again and joins the rescue squad. Holly wants Ethan to go back to Port Charles with her, but now that he's seen just how many enemies he has from the number of people trying to win the right to kill him at the auction, he thinks he should lie low. Before they split up, he gives her all the info he's learned from being Victor's prisoner. Tracy's not pleased that no one from Port Charles told her that they thought Luke was murdered (something she figured out on her own). Felicia thinks she should take a break and spend some time with her family, and though Tracy doesn't expect a warm welcome home, she knows the Qs have her back. Ned will NOT shut UP about Valentin and ELQ, to the point where I'm begging Olivia to give him a wedding task so he'll have to think about something else. Valentin only responds to his multiple messages after Anna tells him to, and even then, he keeps the conversation short and refuses to give in to Ned's demands that he focus on work right now. Portia turns to Anna and Valentin with questions about how worried she should be for Trina. They can't exactly reassure her, but Anna reminds her that Trina is tough and guesses that she's being used as leverage against Spencer, which will keep her safe. Robert gets sidelined from the trip to Greenland so he can try to get the WSB to send help. He and Diane flirt a little, and just as they're about to kiss some more, Holly interrupts. Alexis and T.J. offer support and encouragement to Molly, who's annoyed with herself for not seeing a doctor sooner. Olivia, Brook, Carly, and Michael do wedding prep, vowing to only cry happy tears. The news from Drew that they may have located Obrecht gives them a little bit of a boost.
What do you mean, things are going down in Greenland instead of Greece or Switzerland or Puerto Rico or some other place we've seen a million times?
I'd love to see a combination of Laura, Curtis, Drew, Valentin, Holly, Tracy, Felicia, Spencer, Trina, and Obrecht taking down Victor. That said, Drew needs to stay far away from Victor so he can't get triggered.
Ned, knock it off. Hopefully Tracy's visit will distract him.
I know it's early but I can't believe no one's seen Alexis with the ALS brochure and suspected that she has it.
If I didn't know better, I'd think that Drew and Carly's goodbye meant he wasn't going to make it back.
The previews make it look like Carly gets arrested at the wedding, and it sounds like the Pikeman stuff is going down that night, so wouldn't it be funny if Carly and Sonny got arrested on the same day?

Robert's attention immediately shifts to Holly, and they admit to Diane that they kind of used her to help sell their scheme about Holly stealing the necklace from Diane. Holly figures out pretty easily that she interrupted something other than a professional meeting, but considering how flirtatious Robert gets with her, she'd be forgiven for thinking that he doesn't have any feelings for Diane. Diane vents to Alexis, who thinks she should make a move. The Quartermaines are all, "Tracy, we're so glad you're here, but if you need to leave again immediately, we totally understand. So...how long are you staying?" She's annoyed to be left out of the loop on things like Willow's cancer, and though there's a lot of bickering, she offers to help out in any way she can. Sonny suggests that he and Nina take a vacation, because this is definitely a good time for them to leave the country. She guesses that he's trying to make it up to her that he gets to go to the wedding and she doesn't. She starts complaining about Carly once a-freaking-gain, then calls Martin and tells him to pull the trigger on the SEC complaint, while leaving her name out of it. Since Drew can't come to the wedding, Willow asks Carly to walk her down the aisle instead. Anna frets a little over Valentin with Alexis, and I'll be honest, I zoned out. Brook thanks Tracy for pulling strings to get Chase back on the police force, and Tracy makes it clear that she'll eventually collect on the favor Brook now owes her in return.
I need Holly to talk faster. Get to the point! No more exposition!
Of all of A.J.'s many, MANY mistakes, Tracy thinks hooking up with Carly was the biggest?
People are going to guess immediately that Nina was behind the SEC tip, and I guess she hasn't considered that Sonny would be upset with her for getting Carly arrested.
Also, way to repay Drew, who's currently risking his life to go find Nina's aunt so she can save Nina's daughter.
I think Willow letting Tracy come to the wedding is less about her seeing the good in people and more about her knowing it's not worth the trouble of turning her down. Willow's arms are too short to box with Tracy.
Anna and Alexis? Feels random.
Oh, good, something else Brook is keeping from Chase that she can guiltily confess to him, once again delaying them from getting back together.

In Greenland, Victor puts Obrecht right to work studying the pathogen and coming up with an antidote. She tries to bluff that the pathogen is no longer viable, but he's too smart for that (though it's only activated by UV light, so Obrecht isn't completely sure that it does anything). He offers to send her home with doses of the antidote once she's made it, so she can help Willow, and she accepts, but there's always the possibility that she's pretending to cooperate and isn't actually going to use Trina and Spencer as test subjects. Anna, Robert, and Holly put their heads together to try to figure out what Victor's planning and why he kidnapped Obrecht. They piece together that he's going to do something really destructive, and Anna begs Robert to try again to get the WSB involved, because Laura, Valentin, Drew, and Curtis are probably walking into a situation that they may not be able to walk out of. The Spencers welcome Willow to their family, completely excluding the Corinthoses, but what should we expect when Carly's leading them? Dante presses Michael to end his rift with Sonny, like, his fiancée is dying and he's about to get married; maybe back off for a day or two. Then Sonny shows up and things get soooooooo awkward. Nina rants to Ava about Carly and hints that she has something in the works to make her pay. Brook and Chase get, like, a minute together just to tease us.
It's interesting that a lot of this stuff depends on Obrecht. Can she make an antidote? Will she actually use Trina and Spencer as test subjects? Will she accept the offer to leave once the antidote is done, go home to help Willow and distribute doses to her family while leaving Trina and Spencer to fend for themselves? I'm not 100 percent sure of the answers.
It would be hilarious if the pathogen actually isn't still viable and Victor's 40-year plan ended with an anticlimax.
"Test subjects are supposed to give their informed consent." Trina, sweetie, I don't think Victor cares about medical ethics.
Can we get to the part where Luke is alive? Because at this point, I don't think anyone believes that that's not where this is all heading.
Once again, Kristina gets excluded from family stuff. Plus, Mike got a mention but no one brought up Morgan.
Brook to Sonny: "Nice suit." Dante: (clearing his throat) "And?" Brook: "Oh, yeah. Hi, Dante." Heh.

Willow's preoccupied with the idea of the wedding being an end instead of a beginning, but Carly's like, "No one knows how much time they have; you could get hit by a bus tomorrow; might as well do this now." Everything else goes smoothly, and everyone behaves themselves and makes nice, allowing Michael and Willow to have the wedding they both wanted. Ava tells Nina in 50 different ways why she made a mistake turning Carly and Drew in, noting that Sonny's going to figure out easily that she was behind the anonymous tip, and he'll most likely support Carly. Nina has a bunch of excuses for why her actions are justified, though it mostly comes down to, "I really, really wanted to do it." Ava finally gets through to her by pointing out that she's sending her boyfriend's children's mother to prison. Nina, of course, makes it more about herself, noting that she's sending her grandchildren's grandmother and one of her daughter's major supporters to prison. She tries to convince herself that the investigation will take a while, but SEC officers are at the Quartermaines' before all the wedding guests can head to the reception. Tracy embarrasses Brook in front of Chase, but simultaneously mentions that he owes her for helping him get his job back. Molly struggles to hold it together, and Sam notices that she's going through something, but T.J. won't tell her anything.
I can't believe they got through the whole ceremony. But I guess it would be harsh if they got interrupted and then later, Michael and Willow were like, "So...justice of the peace?"
"We've had some shared experiences, which I will not get into tonight." Can you imagine if she had, though? "I met Willow after I infiltrated the cult her mom got her into, in an attempt to bring down the sexual predator who fathered her first child."
I've never been as happy to hear Ava talk as I was today.
I look forward to Michael ruining Nina financially or otherwise after all of this.
Quick, someone call Drew and tell him not to come back to the U.S.!
I'm sorry but why does Wiley get so much screentime?

Anna brings in Andre to provide some old WSB documents that will give her and Holly insight into Victor's plans. Jordan joins the group as they figure out that Victor likely has a deadly pathogen that could wipe out 80 percent of the population. Holly wants to call the WSB, but Andre gets her and Anna to realize that given the choice between the deaths of eight people and six billion people, they'll just nuke the island and walk away. That means it's all on Laura, Curtis, Valentin, and Drew to save the hostages AND the planet. They've reached Greenland, and three of them agree that this is strictly a rescue mission and not an attempt to bring down Victor. Laura tells Curtis that she was the same age Trina is now when she first dealt with the Cassadines, and now, 40 years later, they're still upending her life. Curtis is optimistic that they'll be able to end Helena's curse for good. Then Valentin has to screw it all up by dropping his satellite phone when there are minions nearby, just moments before Holly calls him. The SEC officers question Carly, or at least try to, because Diane's with her so of course they don't get much information. They hint that they're more interested in investigating Drew than Carly, so they'd like to know where he is. (Carly: "Go to Hell.") Sonny gets Brick to make it look like Drew just boarded a flight from San Diego to Maui, which will buy him time on his rescue mission before he has to deal with this mess. In the end, the SEC officers decline to detain Carly, but they freeze her and Aurora's assets. Willow worries that Michael is also on the SEC's radar, but they don't seem to have any interest in him. Michael accuses Ned of siccing them on Carly and Drew, which offends Ned, even though Michael is totally justified in thinking he's responsible, and even Brook is like, "Selling out your family to secure your power? Like a Quartermaine? No, of course you didn't do it!" Scott checks on Portia, knowing that they're experiencing a lot of the same feelings with Trina and Obrecht missing. She mentions that Curtis went after the hostages, and when he asks for more information, having already figured out that people are keeping him in the dark, she points him toward Anna. He goes to see her and overhears her and Jordan talking about Victor having a biological weapon. Dex is back involved with the Pikeman deal, which is starting now.
They should bring Andre back for good and put him and Jordan back together.
Okay, Valentin doesn't get to go on missions anymore.
I kind of expected that Carly would get arrested and Michael would try to call off the Pikeman thing so Donna would have at least one of her parents around.
Now I'm looking forward to Nina finding out that Drew, not Carly, is the one the SEC wants to punish. Also, with Aurora's assets frozen, she actually caused trouble for her own magazine. Hee hee hee.
Ned, you can't all but threaten to rat Drew and Michael out to the SEC, then whine about Michael believing that you actually did it.
Scott and Portia were a total dartboard pairing, and I can't believe I found him sweet today.
Wait, we're doing Pikeman now? RIGHT now?
