T.J. basically asks Kristina to stay away from Sonny while she's pregnant, which goes over as well as you'd expect. Kristina feels judged and doesn't appreciate having all of her behavior scrutinized. Molly backs her, which leads to a fight between her and T.J. about how he's being a control freak and doesn't trust Kristina. T.J. doesn't seem to see anything wrong with him telling a grown woman how to act, since that woman is carrying his child. He's also concerned that Kristina won't respect boundaries after the baby is born, which Alexis seems worried about, too, especially after Kristina refers to the baby as hers. Drew is moving forward with the wellness/fitness stuff he wants to do with Aurora, and he asks Curtis to head it all up. Nina cautions him not to team up with Drew until he knows exactly what he's getting into. After that, though, she turns on the niceness, since Drew is currently the only reason Willow will even acknowledge her existence. Curtis talks over the job offer with Portia, whose biggest concern is that his time away from the Savoy will lead to Selina swooping in to try to take over. Curtis doesn't think that's an issue, and with Portia's support, he accepts Drew's offer. For some reason, Maxie can't just come out and tell Lucy that her appearance on Home & Heart was a disaster and can never happen again, and not just because Haven has said it can't. She drags in Scott to break the news, but Lucy won't accept that she was anything other than spectacular. When Maxie and Scott finally get through to her, she points out that they don't have another spokesperson. Maxie has an idea, though. Natalia thinks that if Blaze and Kristina are seen together in public while Kristina's pregnant, people will assume that she's having their baby. Alexis stays diplomatic while trying to ease her fears, but when Natalia says that the backlash would be worse for Blaze because she's a rising star and Kristina's just a bartender, Alexis kicks her out. Elizabeth worries that Aiden is being bullied again.

Grr. They're ruining T.J.!

Interesting that Kristina feels like Molly was attacking her alongside T.J. when Molly stood up for her.

"'Lapse of sanity'? Is that what we're calling it?" That's what I'm going to call it. You're both insane.

Since when is Maxie hesitant to tell someone something they need to hear? Girl, stop trying to get Scott to do your dirty work.

I wish Kristina had seen how Alexis reacted when Natalia implied that she's inferior to Blaze. It would have made up for a lot of the resentment Kristina feels about how her family has treated her in the past.

I need someone to call out Natalia for referring to Blaze as "Kristina's friend."

In what universe would someone who saw a pregnant woman hanging out with another woman automatically think that they were having a baby together?

Please, let's not do a storyline with a teenager being bullied because of his sexuality. Especially not Aiden, who is the least deserving bullying target.

Tracy second-guesses Olivia's decision to hire Sasha and challenges Sasha to make a random cookbook recipe for dinner. When Sasha nails lunch, a dish Tracy used to enjoy with Luke, Tracy backs off, praises her, and welcomes her to the job. It takes a village to try to shape Brook into Deception's new spokesmodel, but nothing works. When her mother shows her what she should do, Maxie and Lucy finally agree on something: Lois should be the spokesmodel. Blah blah blah, Willow's going to do the non-profit thing and leave nursing, no one cares. Tracy talks to Gregory about regrets she has over not doing enough with her life and privilege as she could have. Gregory thinks she should change her perspective and keep in mind that life is about relationships, not contributions. Sasha and Cody acknowledge that they kissed but otherwise don't discuss it. The kids are off of school and for some reason a bunch of them are running around the Quartermaines' property, doing nothing interesting. Also, their parents and guardians aren't paying attention to them, so Cody ends up on babysitting duty. The only thing interesting (if you can use that word) that happens is that Wiley, James, and Violet almost walk in on Michael and Willow in the bedroom, but Cody saves the day.

I'm sorry but the New Tomorrow Institute sounds like a cult.

Sasha and Cody really aren't going to talk about that kiss, huh?

Not to sound like Tracy but why were there so many kids in this episode? Also, why did they shoehorn in Felicia for a scene and have Yuri make a five-second appearance with no lines? Also also, what was the point of Aiden being in the episode?

Stop recasting the kids! We already see them so rarely that it's hard to know who's who, and replacing their actors just makes it harder.

Ava tries to play moll-in-charge with Carly when she comes to see Sonny, but Carly won't play along. She tells Sonny that as long as he's being volatile and going on about her betrayal, she won't let Donna stay with him. He sees this as another betrayal, of course, and complains for the millionth time that everyone is turning on him. Carly thinks he's stopped taking his medication and even goes so far as to check his supply and suggest he get a blood test. In the end, the two of them are madder than ever at each other and Ava has another item for her list of things she can tell Sonny she agrees with him about. Nina lets Drew tag along on some meeting with a congressman who was friends with her father, and he hijacks the meeting to get funding for his plan to, let's say, gentrify the waterfront. Josslyn discusses her growing disinterest in medicine with Trina, who thinks she's cooling on it because it was something she got interested in while she was with Dex, and now they're over. Josslyn admits that helping Dex did make her consider med school, but her reasons for changing her mind aren't related to him. She isn't sure what she'll do instead, but she wants it to be helpful and meaningful. Sonny cautions Dante to keep his distance from Dex after he joins the PCPD. Dante confides to Sam that when he first learned that Dex wanted to be a cop, he worried about what that would mean for Sonny, which meant he was thinking like a mobster's son instead of the officer who's supposed to bring criminals to justice. Though he claims to be fine with boundaries, he can't ignore the fact that he's spent all this time in Port Charles and has made no progress taking Sonny down. Kristina vents to Sam and Alexis about T.J. micromanaging her, but they seem more interested in the fact that she again refers to the baby as hers. Alexis seems to think that Molly and T.J. aren't doing anything wrong because they just want the best for their child. She also asks Kristina straight out if she's still clear that the baby isn't hers.

Kristina isn't the only Corinthos being micromanaged. If Carly doesn't want Donna around Sonny while he's unstable, fine, that's reasonable. But going into his bathroom to police whether he's taking his medication? Come on.

Ava thinking that she has any power over Carly's access to Sonny is both amusing and pathetic.

Why am I supposed to care about this Nina/Drew stuff? Why are they getting so much screentime? How do I make it stop??

No member of Congress would ever blow off someone who had just introduced himself using his military rank.

No wonder Kristina has a complex. Alexis, just validate her feelings instead of defending Molly and T.J.! It's not that hard!

May 6th, 2024

Kristina assures Alexis that she doesn't think of the baby as her own and there's nothing to worry about. Alexis continues making excuses for and defending Molly and T.J.'s behavior instead of just saying, "You haven't done anything wrong," even though she says that later to Diane, freaking A, Alexis, support your daughter! Anyway, Molly tells Kristina that she talked to T.J. about what happened earlier and made it clear that he was out of line, so at least the sisters have smoothed things over. Alexis is concerned that that won't last, though – state law says that the baby is legally Kristina's, so if things go south, she could cause trouble. Diane advises Alexis to stay out of it and let her daughters deal with any conflicts that may arise, because if she doesn't stay neutral, she could make things worse. Sonny wants to get a blood test to prove to Carly that he's taking his medication, and though Ava must be silently screaming inside, she says that's a good idea. Then again, why give Carly what she wants or set a precedent that Sonny will do this again in the future? Taking a break from the conversation, Sonny runs into Natalia and the two commiserate over having difficult family situations. He invites her back to his place for a drink, and you can guess how Ava feels about that. Dante thinks that the conflict of being a cop while having a mobster father has grown too big to overcome, and he wants to resign from the PCPD. Sam is completely supportive, admitting that she's been praying for this because of all the anxiety the danger of his job brings. Anna understands why Dante wants to leave, but she thinks that if she can reconcile her feelings about Sonny and Robin's friendship with her job, Dante can do the same. She convinces him to keep his job but set firmer boundaries between his work and personal lives. Natalia's criticism and control of Blaze takes on another layer when they start fighting about Blaze's brother, who's also musically talented but has chosen not to make a career from it. Natalia can't let that go, and it looks like she thinks her son is more talented than her daughter.

Kristina is not the problem! Why does everyone think she's the problem?? Also, she's given no indication that she wants to keep the baby, so Alexis needs to chill.

I'm impressed that Ava not only kept her cool when Sonny talked about taking a blood test, but she even supported the decision.

That said: Ava, get a hobby.

Ooh, Blaze has a brother? Is he cute?

May 7th, 2024

Carly tells Jason that Sonny's in one of his typical spirals and she suspects his medication (or, more likely, his failure to take his medication) is to blame. The two of them brainstorm people who might be able to convince him to talk to a doctor, but that's really the extent of what they can do. They also wonder if Ava might have replaced his pills with a lower dosage. John interrupts, wanting to talk to Jason about Pikeman, and Carly eavesdrops as he mentions Sonny and Brennan's connection to the organization. Willow accepts Drew's offer to be the spokesperson for the New Tomorrow Institute, and she happily shares the news with Nina. Drew suggests that he run a story about her and the organization in Crimson. Now he's made Nina look good again, which makes her think that she's ahead of him in their weird quid pro quo arrangement. Drew may think the opposite, though, since the meeting with the congressman got him funding for something he and Jordan have been discussing, and now he looks like a hero. Laura visits Heather, who's now realizing and regretting the full extent of her crimes over the years. She wonders if she might have been a good mother if she'd gotten medical treatment earlier, and if Esme would still be alive. Laura thinks it's great that she's taking accountability for her actions. Felicia has reservations about Anna's decision to have dinner with Valentin. Instead of telling her that it's basically a recon mission, Anna says it's about getting closure. Sonny approaches Jordan about making a big donation to the city, and apparently she doesn't know that Laura already turned him down for that. Nina catches up with Valentin, who's happy that she's happy, though he has no clue that it's because she's been using Drew. Sonny watches Dex during his police academy training, so if anyone thought that he might have put that mess behind him, nope!

It would be awesome if Carly had Sonny's medication tested and came away thinking that Ava had replaced it.

Jason didn't think that Carly might eavesdrop on him and John, and that John might bring up what he's holding over Jason's head? Seems unlikely.

Morgan mention – drink!

How many more times do we have to see Heather? How many other characters' screentime are they going to give her?

May 8th, 2024

Jason tells Anna that John came to him to discuss Pikeman, and that John and the FBI don't seem to know that Valentin is involved. Anna is even more confident that she can use her connection to him to get him to slip up about what he knows. She asks Jason what the FBI has on Carly, and he tells her that they have a recording of her declaring that she was in charge of the Corinthos organization when she attended that meeting in his place while he was on the run and Sonny was presumed dead. Anna wonders why Jason didn't call the FBI's bluff and let Diane get Carly off the hook. In a nutshell, Jason put Donna ahead of his own kids and endured being away from his family so Donna wouldn't have to be away from Carly. The FBI's control over him has gone on a lot longer than he expected, and once things with Carly are sorted out, he's not going to put up with it anymore. Carly visits Brennan at Pentonville and tries to get him to talk to her about Pikeman. He doesn't, of course, and he actually benefits more from their conversation than she does, as she tells him that John and the FBI are investigating. Dante breaks the news to Sam that he won't be leaving the PCPD after all. She laments getting her hopes up but isn't completely surprised that he wants to keep doing the job he loves and is good at. She doesn't want to ask him to change, so she can only control how she responds. Dante worries that she wants to break up, but she knows that won't ease her fears for his safety; all it would do is make her lose him. Chase and Finn agree that Gregory should sit out the rehearsal dinner and related festivities, since traveling back and forth from Coney Island would tire him out. Finn volunteers to be the one to try to convince him to skip it. He regrets all the time he missed with his father and is in need of an AA meeting. Brook is annoyed to see John when she and Lois are at Bobbie's, but Lois is delighted to catch up with an old friend. John apologizes to Brook for approaching Danny without an adult present and thanks her for keeping him from making any further mistakes. Brook's like, "Okay, but I still don't want to spend any more time with you." Lois and John both find it strange to be back in a town where they used to live when so much has changed, and Lois says that it reminds her of the life she thought she would have but doesn't. That said, a change from her expectations isn't necessarily a bad thing. Laura admits to Kevin that she's empathizing with Heather a little more than feels comfortable. She doesn't think it's right that Heather will spend the rest of her life in prison when she's not fully to blame for her crimes. Kevin says that she deserves the chance to have a better life, but that can't involve absolution for everything she's done. Brook is nervous about the wedding, but more about everything going well than about the part where she marries the man she loves. Chase is adorably amused. Laura worries that Charlotte went back to Switzerland too quickly and won't do well away from her family. Valentin assures her that he'll see Charlotte a lot, since he has a business venture that requires traveling to Europe.

So how did the FBI get a recording from a mob meeting? That's probably something the mobsters should look into.

CARLY. What are you DOING?

I'm sure Finn won't have any problem convincing Gregory to stay home! It's gonna go great!

Thank you, Kevin, for being reasonable, unlike some people.

May 9th, 2024

Sam thinks that Danny skipped school and is with Jason, but he didn't and he's not. Jason warns Sam that she's teaching Danny to lie to her and advises her to stop trying to control him. She still thinks it's fair because of the danger Danny could wander into being around Jason. She also doesn't want Jason's opinion on her parenting, since he has no experience raising a teen, thanks to his time away. Jason finally tells her about his involvement with the FBI, which clarifies for her why he and Sonny are on the outs and why Jason was away for so long. She also gets now that his time away wasn't voluntary, and she's apologetic about fighting with him. Finn is nervous about talking to Gregory about skipping the rehearsal dinner, but it turns out that Gregory has already decided on his own that he shouldn't go. Finn avoids one fight but falls right into another one because Gregory doesn't want a home health aide while everyone's away. When Finn argues that it'll help Chase not to worry about his father, Gregory throws his fling with Jackie in his face. He quickly regrets that, especially since Chase had to hear it, and agrees to a home health aide. Finn left after Jackie's name came up, and he turns to Alexis for advice. He's worried that Gregory hasn't really forgiven him for that whole mess, but Alexis thinks that if he's comfortable fighting with his son, they have a good relationship. Then she comes up with the perfect solution to the home-health-aide situation: invite herself over with the excuse of needing Gregory's help preparing for her hearing. Laura talks to Alexis about Heather, somehow thinking that Heather's remorse over her crimes means something. Alexis has found precedent where someone's conviction was overturned because a witness decided their testimony wasn't accurate. Laura really wants Heather to have a fair defense, but after she fills Jordan in on everything, Jordan cautions her not to get involved. It'll be career suicide and the town isn't likely to feel any sympathy for Heather. Olivia checks with Sonny to make sure he's not taking his new BFF to the wedding as his plus one. He assures her he's not, which is news to Ava, who can't contemplate why a wedding attended by numerous Falconeris wouldn't want to be in the same location as Ava, killer of Connie Falconeri. When she argues that that happened a long time ago, Sonny notes that Kiki's murder did, too. Ava's offended and threatens to move out, to which Sonny basically says, "Let me know if you need help moving." Natalia wants to snag Blaze's plus-one wedding spot from Kristina, since there's a chance that the two of them will be photographed together, and wouldn't that be a fate worse than death? Also, this is a chance to boost Blaze's career, and she needs to keep everything professional. Blaze tells her mother that she's the only one who gets to make decisions about her personal life, and she's not going to use a friend's wedding to her own advantage.

Are we done talking about Jason's tattoos yet?

Find me one person who actually wants to watch this Heather stuff.

Jordan, you can't see or hear me, but I'm screaming, "Yes! Yes!" and throwing confetti at you on my TV.

I can't wait to hear the B.S. excuse for why Jackie isn't at the wedding.

Blaze needs to start telling Natalia, "We're not discussing this," and walking out. I also get the feeling that Blaze feels that Natalia deserves as much say as she gets because of everything she's done for Blaze – Natalia likely plays that card herself – and her guilt gets the better of her.

Ugh, Natalia's going to get a plus-one invitation from Sonny, isn't she?

Kiki mention – drink!

May 10th, 2024

Having learned that Carly went to visit Brennan, John asks Jason why she might have done that. Jason pretends not to know, then fills Anna in and says that Carly probably eavesdropped and thinks she's helping. Anna notes that if Carly told Brennan about Jason's work with the FBI, she's put them in a really bad spot. Jason knows that he won't be able to get Carly to back off, so Anna will have to find out what she told Brennan and make it clear that she can't get involved. Seemingly unintentionally, Natalia manages to stumble into a conversation with Sonny about the wedding, and when she mentions that Blaze won't take her, Sonny invites her to go with him. He reluctantly goes home to Ava, who announces that she's moving out, spinning it like she's doing Sonny a favor instead of fleeing because he blew up at her. Now he's offended that she wants to leave, and she can make it look like she wants to make changes in her life. She casually brings up the wedding, clearly thinking that now that Sonny has changed his mind about one thing, he'll do it again. She's less than pleased to learn that he's already found another date. Sam tells Dante that Jason's an FBI informant, which jogs his memory of Sonny telling him that while he was in the hospital. Now that they know that he wasn't away voluntarily and that he's at the FBI's mercy, Sam wants to find a way to help him. She and Dante brainstorm about the Pikeman hits, which they don't think were by mobsters, but can't figure out the killers' motives, since all that happened was that the people who were second in line to lead took over their respective organizations. Dante wants Sam to stay out of things, but there's no way that's going to happen. Josslyn and Dex get competitive during a run, which eases the tension between them and allows them to have a nice conversation. He supports her decision to change her major to environmental science and assures her that she'll be awesome at whatever she ends up doing. Ava talks to a pharmacist about Sonny's medication, pretty much only learning that taking a lower dose could make him volatile if that's what his personality is normally like. Anna checks in with Dex about his training and asks if he's had much interaction with Dante. Apparently she's worried that Dante's more loyal to Sonny than to his job, as if he's ever given any indication of that. She also apparently thinks that Dex is a good judge of that.

John, let me save you the trouble of asking questions in the future: No one has any idea why Carly does anything she does.

LOL, good luck keeping Sam out of investigating, Dante. Also, when Jason inevitably finds out what they're up to, he's going to be like, "Can people stop trying to help me?"

How is it that Ava, who previously tampered with Morgan's medication, doesn't know what to expect now that someone has tampered with Sonny's medication?

So suddenly Anna doesn't think she can trust Dante when it comes to Sonny? And she thinks Dex has a good read on the situation?

I actually found Josslyn adorable today, with how she refused to give Dex a head start and just took off running.

May 13th, 2024

Anna yells at Carly for visiting Brennan, and because she's Carly, she immediately turns around and makes arrangements to go back. Sasha worries that taking the job at the Quartermaines' without consulting Michael or Willow will lead to awkwardness. Michael assures her that everyone's okay with it, and if she's happy, he's happy. Then he goes all "what are your intentions with my ex?" on Cody, but not in an intimidating way or anything. Sasha tells Cody that he doesn't need to worry about that, since he treats her in a way that anyone would admire. Drew continues Operation: Fix Things Between Nina and Willow, which is still going well. Willow feels bad because she's been keeping a secret from Drew, so she spills that she helped Jason when he first came back to town. Tracy wants to sit out the trip to Coney Island and the rehearsal dinner, but Gregory convinces her to go. He tells her he'd like her to be his backup if he can't officiate the wedding, but as far as she's concerned, there's no question that he's doing it. Jordan lets Trina and Stella know that Laura is working on Heather's defense, which Trina and Stella are understandably upset about. Jordan wants to give Laura the benefit of the doubt, and the Ashfords...not so much. Nina digs into Carly, because why not, then tells her she was right about Sonny.

"Why don't you try to be as smart as you think you are" is a pretty good line.

Sasha might be the only person who remembers that she and Michael used to date.

Willow...why? Drew doesn't need to know that.

I know Thursday is the day of the wedding, so are we even going to see any of the stuff out of town?

May 14th, 2024

The pharmacist Ava spoke to is the same one Valentin got to replace Sonny's medication, and he calls Valentin panicking that "Sonny's wife" has busted him. Valentin notes that since the police haven't gotten involved said "wife" hasn't reported the pharmacist, so there's nothing to worry about. He's also pretty sure that Nina, Sonny's most recent wife, wasn't the one who talked to the pharmacist, and a quick conversation with her confirms that. Now he just has a couple of other blondes in Sonny's life to check with. Anna has her recon date with Valentin, who is definitely snowed, but nothing comes up that can help with the Pikeman investigation. Nina confronts Ava for going behind her back to get something in Crimson, which is just another insult on the long list of wrongs Ava has done to her ex-BFF. Nina wants revenge, which doesn't surprise Ava, since no matter what Nina does, she's always the same person. Gregory worries that his fight with Finn was so big that Finn will ever forgive him. Alexis shares her biggest parental screw-up – her response to Kristina's coming out – and assumes that once Gregory apologizes and explains his frustrations to Finn, things will be fine. Gregory praises her work for her hearing and gives her a medal from his school days as a good-luck charm. Drew and Jordan come up with some additional ideas for their big waterfront project that could hugely increase tourism in Port Charles. The congressman attached to the project is hesitant to continue it, since Drew is a convicted felon, but Drew is willing to keep his name off of it. The congressman thinks that Drew should take his seat after he retires, and that he should change his last name to Quartermaine. Anna and Jason decide to spin Carly's interference to their benefit – Brennan will likely contact whoever's running Pikeman now that he knows the FBI are investigating, and they can just follow the trail. Jason will still have to find a way to handle Carly, though. John interrogates Ava about Sonny, guessing that since they're so close, she must know something. She's upset to hear that he's having her watched and doesn't believe that she has no mob connections or ambitions. Monica gets Danny to talk Jason into going to Brook and Chase's wedding as her representative, basically.

LOL, Valentin really believes that Anna wants to get back together. How delightfully naïve.

Gregory, if you can forgive Finn for sleeping with your wife, he can forgive you for bringing it up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like Alexis' defense is, "Yes, I committed perjury, but no one got hurt, so it's okay."

A high-speed ferry to Toronto is just going to allow criminals to flee town faster.

Drew, passing the waterfront project over to Michael to cut the association with a convicted felon won't help. He's also a convicted felon.

May 15th, 2024

For possibly the first time ever on any soap, all the prep the day of Brook and Chase's wedding goes well, and both the bride and groom are more excited than nervous. Tracy is on her best behavior, saying wonderful things to both Ned and Brook about how much they mean to her and how happy she is to have them in her life. I guess we shouldn't be surprise that things can't stay as terrific as they are, as Gregory has some trouble speaking when the ceremony begins. Two unexpected guests get very different reactions. Spinelli is thrilled to finally see Jason again, while the Quartermaines are just surprised that he's at a family event. Meanwhile, Blaze isn't happy that Natalia managed to get an invitation, and Kristina just hopes her father doesn't give her girlfriend's mother any reason to dislike her or their family.

Why are Violet and Leo the only kids there? I can't believe they didn't shoehorn in Wiley. Also, not even a mention of Jackie? Or are we supposed to pretend she's there, just off-screen? And why is Josslyn there but Sasha isn't?

I love how so many of the men wore blue suits. In fact, Finn looked out of place in black.

The way Tracy was talking today, people are going to think she's dying.

Yay, we finally got a Jason/Spinelli scene! It only took two-and-a-half months!

Haaaaaa, Jason didn't acknowledge Drew at all. Burn.

Either there was an editing error or Sam can teleport. Neither would shock me.

They've made a bit of a big deal out of the violinist cousin, so should we assume he's staying?

May 16th, 2024

Tracy helps Gregory through his issues, and from there on, the wedding goes perfectly. Gregory tells Tracy that he sometimes thinks about what his life would have been like if he'd met her decades ago. She has, too, but with how wonderfully everything has worked out for their now-connected families, she wouldn't want anything to happen differently. Caught up in the celebration and joy over a performance from Violet at the reception, Finn accidentally takes a sip of champagne. Jason and Drew interact for about 30 seconds, just long enough to note that neither has sought the other out since Jason's return, and both recognize the significance of that. Sam asks Spinelli to help her investigate the FBI. Portia becomes the first person to notice that Jordan and Drew have been exhibiting some "vibes" when they're together. Maxie rewards Spinelli's cheesy flirting with an "I love you."

No ring bearer? Sorry, Leo. He should have gotten to do something, especially since, as Olivia noted, he may or may not be the reason the bride and groom got together.

Portia thinks that she and Curtis were only invited because Brook and Chase book stuff at the Savoy, but then why was Curtis invited to the bachelor party?

I'm surprised Jason voluntarily went to the reception. I assume it's only because Valentin and Brennan are going to try the hit on him there.

Kristina finally admitted that Alexis was right to be critical of Parker! Vindication!

May 17th, 2024

While everyone else enjoys the reception, Sonny spends most of it glaring at Dex for simply talking to Cerullos. When he gets Dex alone, he tells him to stay away from Sonny's family and notes that he's lucky to still be alive. Dex inadvertently escalates things and Sonny turns violent. Jason runs in to restrain him, and Sonny vows to kill both of them. Unfortunately for him, Kristina is nearby. Brennan and Valentin must be cooking something up because he stabs himself and gets taken to GH. Sasha had to miss the wedding because of all the work involved catering it and the after-party, so she has dinner with Cody instead. They debate long-term plans vs. living in the moment, then share a slow dance, which I think qualifies this as their first date. Sam convinces Spinelli to help her find out what the FBI is holding over Jason's head to force him to be an informant.

For the first time all month, stuff is happening!

Not to blame the victim or anything, but Dex should have walked away when he had the chance.

Interesting contrast between Finn panicking over one sip of champagne while Sasha drinks wine like she'd never had any problems with substance abuse.

I love Sam pushing Dante's buttons by not helping him make an excuse to avoid the after-party.

So...what are we doing with Gio? Because having him meet Josslyn before anyone else hints that they'll be put together, but it's looking more and more like she and Dex are going to reconcile, so...yeah, what are we doing here?

May 20th, 2024

Kristina's arrival snaps Sonny out of his volatility, though he accuses Jason of setting things up for her to see him being violent. She runs off and calls Blaze to come be with her, sending Sonny away when he tries to talk to her. Jason summons Carly to address the situation, and surprisingly, Sonny doesn't object to her getting involved. She tries to convince him that the few minutes Kristina saw of him acting unlike she's ever seen him won't ruin her view of him. They have, though, as Kristina now accepts what everyone's been trying to tell her about her father. Finn and Gregory make up and say nice things to each other and I guess everything's good now. Finn then calls Alexis panicking about drinking, and she calms him down and assures him that he hasn't failed just because he's had a setback. Anna is suspicious of Brennan's claim that he was attacked, since he was always really good at hand-to-hand combat and the shiv he was stabbed with conveniently didn't hit anything vital. She compliments him for being good but warns that she's better. That said, she thinks his apparent self-stabbing has something to do with Carly, so she hasn't put it all together yet. Josslyn encounters Dex and makes him go to the hospital, declining to leave when he gives her permission to. He's more surprised than she is that Sonny seems to have completely forgotten that they were ever allies. Brook and Chase manage to be filler on their own wedding night.

I'm disappointed that it took this long – and maybe that's on me – but I'm finally impressed with Kate Mansi.

Carly remains the Sonny Whisperer, and Blaze remains the best thing to ever happen to Kristina.

Why does it feel like they're setting this up for Gregory to die overnight?

Granted, I'm not an expert on 12-step programs or anything, but does drinking count as a hit to Finn's sobriety when he's not an alcoholic?

I can't believe they addressed Jackie's absence. I figured they would ignore it forever.

May 21st, 2024

The day after the wedding is as horrible as the wedding day was wonderful, because Gregory died in his sleep. Finn is alone when he finds his father's body, and in between handling the details, he drinks, gives the news to Chase (who's just about to get on the plane for his honeymoon), and remembers the last fight he and Gregory had. Things aren't going to get better any time soon, because now Violet's home and needs to be told what happened. Kristina is still shaken by Sonny's attack on Dex, but she feels like she can't talk to Alexis or Molly, the people she would normally turn to. She calls Michael, who hates that she's seen for herself what kind of person their father is but can't do much for her. Kristina doesn't want to completely cut Sonny off, since she still loves him, and she asks Michael to find a way to fix things. Michael says he will, but first he goes to Dex to find out if he's going to press charges. Sonny tells Dante that he assaulted Dex, though he argues that it was self-defense and is clear that he doesn't regret his actions apart from how they've affected Kristina. He asks Dante to reach out to Kristina, who won't talk to him, and try to get her back on Team Sonny. Dante agrees to check on her, but beyond that, he's no longer advocating for his father or excusing any of his crimes. He's also furious that Sonny has dragged him into things because if Dex presses charges, Dante and Kristina could both be called to testify. Alexis is so anxious about her hearing that she's ready to just walk away. Diane likely won't let her, and will probably drag her to the hearing if she has to. Josslyn sticks close to Dex, who wonders if she's ready to skip ahead to what looks like their inevitable reconciliation. Kristina worries that Blaze will see Sonny's antics as a dealbreaker for their relationship.

Oh. That's why it felt like they were setting it up for Gregory to die overnight.

Kristina's little voice break when she asked Michael to fix things was awful. And it was so relatable. She just wants her big brother to make everything better! And he told her he would, because he can't say no! But there's nothing he can do, and not just because Sonny won't even talk to him! Gah!

Morgan mention – drink!

No one should be surprised that Sonny's top priority right now is having someone tell Kristina that he's not a horrible person.

Finn breaks the news of Gregory's death to Violet, who's just old enough to understand while still being too young to get what it all means. When Elizabeth arrives, she can immediately tell that Finn has been drinking, and she advises him to go to a meeting while she takes Violet to her place. He objects, but there's no way Elizabeth is going to let him keep Violet with him, no matter how hard he fights her. Michael asks Dex not to press charges against Sonny because of how difficult it would be for Kristina. Josslyn abstains from sharing her opinion at first, then surprises Dex by siding with Michael. Dex is frustrated that Michael won't take advantage of this situation to make Sonny face justice. Kristina appreciates that Michael is trying to help her, but she doesn't think she should be the reason Sonny might get away with a crime. She tells Dex that he's free to press charges if he wants, and if called to testify, she will. Diane boosts Alexis' confidence and they go to her hearing, where Neil's brother, Fergus, is the lawyer arguing against her getting her law license back. When he states that Neil would still be alive if it weren't for Alexis, Alexis starts looking forward to advocating on her own behalf. Sonny continues making things all about himself, complaining that Dante is against him now because he won't do anything to help him. He then vents to Ava, conveniently making it sound like Dex provoked him in some way and had it coming. Brook and Chase have to skip their honeymoon and go tell her family that his father died. Michael thinks that Dex and Josslyn's time together at the wedding means they're back together. She would clearly like that to happen, but she's not sure she's ready to jump back into things. Blaze has no intention of ditching Kristina, and not just because Kristina didn't leave when Blaze's own crazy parent made things difficult.

Every adult in this episode got outacted by an eight-year-old.

Michael asking Dex not to press charges isn't protecting Kristina – it's treating her like a child once a-freaking-gain. And I'm thrilled that she recognized that it was the wrong thing to do and that Dex gets to make whatever decision he wants.

"There's no victory lap when it comes to being right about Sonny." Someone should tell T.J. that, because I wouldn't put it past him to say, "I told you so" to Kristina.

"My own son is forsaking me." Oh, knock it off, drama queen.

For once, I agree with Josslyn on something: Couples who keep breaking up and getting back together are exhausting.

Dex tells Anna that Sonny beat him up, but he may not press charges. Anna helps him run down the pros and cons, decidedly leaning toward not pursuing charges not just because of Kristina but also because Sonny wouldn't go away for long, and the repercussions would outweigh the consequences. Dex ultimately decides not to press charges, even though that means his world is less black and white than he would like. Finn calls Elizabeth's bluff and won't let her take Violet home with her. She calls Chase and Brook to come over and look after him, and the two of them notice that he's been drinking. Brook takes Violet off for a walk so Finn and Chase can talk about Gregory, and so Chase can find out how bad things are for Finn. Ava leads another round of Sonny Did Nothing Wrong, pinning the blame for Dex's attack on Jason, since, according to Sonny, he escalated things. Carly drops by and Sonny feeds her the same line. She notes that he's previously blamed her, Michael, and Dex for his various betrayals, and she wonders who he'll name next as responsible for him becoming the person he's become. Alexis doesn't think her disbarment was fair because her perjury occurred during a medical hearing, not a legal one, and because she was never informed of all the parties involved. She and Diane are surprised to learn that Ava was the person who filed the complaint that led to her disbarment, obviously on Julian's behalf. Kristina continues regretting asking Michael to intervene for her, since that's a Sonny thing to do. Blaze encourages her to put herself and the baby first right now. Anna tells Carly about Brennan's stabbing and her suspicion that it was self-inflected. Carly assures her that they don't have any kind of relationship or friendship, conveniently not mentioning her visit to him at Pentonville. Ned and Lois take a moment out of their grief to say how much they care about and appreciate each other. Gio is moving into the Quartermaines' for so-far-unexplained reasons.

So much for no longer making excuses or protecting Sonny, huh, Anna?

Two or three people now have called the baby Kristina's, so anyone overreacting when she does it can take a seat, thanks.

I think Elizabeth made a big mistake leaving. It's not Chase's job to look after Finn right now.

Ooh, a Hayden reference! Can't let that go unmentioned.

Leave it to Ava to be like, "Sounds to me like this is all Jason's fault." And of course Sonny seized on that right away and is running with it.

I love it when exes are able to get along, so yay, Ned and Lois!

Alexis thinks her disbarment should be lifted because Fergus and Ava targeted her for personal reasons unrelated to her professional life. Fergus brings up that time she was suspended because she convinced Carlos not to testify against Julian, who later killed him. He suggests that that was what Alexis was aiming for all along. Alexis and Diane are furious about that, as well as Fergus' insistence that his brothers died because of Alexis' lies. The hearing ends with both parties looking pretty bad, but Diane's happy that Alexis at least fought for what she wants. Cody informs Tracy of Gregory's death, and she surprises him by telling him the ways she thinks the two of them are similar. She asks Stella to let her handle anything Finn and Chase shouldn't have to deal with right now, like paperwork and bills. Stella notes that Tracy has a bigger heart than people think, which Tracy credits to her friendship with Gregory. Finn beats himself up a little over drinking, but Chase assures him that since he was able to fix things with Gregory, he'll be able to fix this, too. Finn's off to a good start, telling Chase to get rid of the rest of his alcohol, then heading off to a meeting. Elizabeth is hesitant to tell Portia what's going on with Finn, since she's their boss, but she ends up confiding in her. Then she worries that Portia will overreact to what's probably just a one-time thing that no one should worry much about. Portia agrees to keep things quiet, sure that Finn's relapse won't affect his work. T.J. finally starts to get that he's been unfair to Kristina, which is in turn unfair to Molly. Violet is scared that she'll forget about Gregory, but Brook, always the MVP, eases her fears.

Honestly, I don't think Alexis presented a convincing enough argument. This is about whether or not she committed perjury, right? She did. She admits it. I'm not sure the panel cares about the details. That said, Fergus' argument that Alexis' perjury led to his brothers' deaths is flimsy, as well as ridiculous. Like, Harmony murdered two men because Alexis lied about sleeping with one of them? Please explain, sir.

After all this, we still have to wait up to a month for the hearing results??

I don't like all these Julian references.

Odd choice to have Tracy learn about Gregory's death from Cody.

I was wondering why Elizabeth was so insistent on being the one to tell Alexis about Gregory, but I think it's because she wants to mention Finn's drinking so Alexis can help him.

May 28th, 2024

Anna asks Jason for his version of events from Sonny's attack on Dex. When he mentions that Sonny threatened to kill both of them, she wonders if he would really do so. Jason knows that in the past, he wouldn't, since he would be the first suspect, but he's acting so out of character now that there's now way to know. Anna tells Jason about Brennan's hospitalization and the possibility that he stabbed himself to get access to Carly. If he did, it worked, because Carly visits him in the hospital to ask if the rumors are true. He lets her know that when she went to see him in Pentonville, she told him something very informative, and if she were better at espionage, she wouldn't make that mistake again. Chase feels guilty about Gregory's death, thinking that officiating the wedding made him decline. Tracy helps him change his perspective: The wedding gave Gregory something to live for. Chase is pretty confident that he can help Finn through this without drinking again, and Brook promises to support him through it all. Fergus accuses Alexis of putting off her appeal in hopes that enough time has passed for people to forget about what she did. He also sees no problem with Ava pursuing a personal vendetta against her and doesn't care about Ava's own misdeeds. Alexis notes that Neil never mentioned to her that he had a brother. Fergus admits that the three Byrnes had a falling-out after their father's death and were estranged. He regrets not resolving things before the other two died, but he's consoled by the hope that Alexis will never practice law again. After a difficult day and Fergus' continued annoyingness, Alexis gets insult added to her injury when she tries calling Gregory and learns from Chase that he died. Spinelli is understandably hesitant to commit to helping Sam uncover what the FBI has on Jason, since it'll involve hacking the government, which isn't exactly legal. She gets him closer to agreeing by saying that freeing Jason will allow him to stay in Danny's life. Spinelli fills Maxie in on everything, and though she's also hesitant about him getting involved, she thinks he should do it (as long as he tries really, really hard not to get caught).

Now that Anna mentions it, it's a little odd that more people didn't hear Sonny threaten Dex and Jason.

Carly, stop talking. And I don't just mean to Brennan. Just in general, stop talking.

Josh Swickard is always so good with big, emotional stuff.

Tracy: "I find most people annoying." And vice versa.

If I were Spinelli, I would tell Sam that she can't play the Danny card again for at least six months.

Spinelli's been on the FBI's radar before, so I'd say his chances of getting caught are, mathematically speaking, really, really high.

May 29th, 2024

Alexis confronts Ava for filing the complaint that got her disbarred, but Ava is nothing but proud of herself and thinks Alexis deserved it and more for the way she treated Julian. Alexis practically vows to take Ava down if she gets her license back. Chase and Finn meet with Diane to find out what's in Gregory's will. There's nothing too surprising in it, though Chase doesn't expect to be named the executor. He thinks it's because Gregory knew that Finn would have a harder time with his death. Chase is feeling stress over what he sees as his responsibility to help Finn and Violet through their grief, but Brook reminds him that he has a partner to lend a hand. Nina and Ava get in a big fight in front of Maxie, who thinks Nina's being unreasonable in letting their friendship breakup affect business decisions. She also thinks that Nina's continuing hook-ups with Drew are a horrible idea, but Nina doesn't seem to see any drawbacks. Finn and Alexis talk a little about Gregory before Finn confesses that he drank. Alexis thinks he had a justifiable reason, and since he's responding by going to meetings and is determined to stay sober, she's not too worried about him. Finn apologizes to Elizabeth for the way he reacted to her attempts to look out for him and Violet, and he reaffirms his commitment to sobriety. She's less worried about his drinking than about the fact that he didn't put Violet first for once in his life. But she seems to trust that he's on the right track now and doesn't give any indication that their fight was a dealbreaker. Drew tells Willow that he's considering running for Congress, which she's really excited about, since she thinks he would be perfect for it. Ava overhears Josslyn telling Trina about Sonny's attack on Dex and blasts her for talking about things she didn't witness. Josslyn throws that back at her and Trina has to break up their argument.

I want Alexis to get her law license back and then dig up the buried evidence that Ava killed Connie.

Ava's argument is exactly the same as Nina's has been about Carly and Drew: Alexis did the misdeeds, so Ava's not the bad guy.

Who cares about the will 24 hours after someone's death?

I hope someone lets Elizabeth know that Violet got the reassurances Elizabeth thought she needed from Brook.

I love that instead of clarifying which tree is his favorite, Gregory just wrote, "Violet knows which one."

Maxie did the exact right thing while Nina and Ava were fighting – act invisible and listen in.

Maxie: "What's he getting out of it?" Nina: (gesturing like, "You know the answer to that"). Maxie: "What else is he getting out of it?" Hee hee hee.

Josslyn tells Sonny that Dex isn't pressing charges because of his kids, so he's once again getting away with a crime. Sonny approaches Dex to tell him he's calling a truce, more or less, because Dex is a distraction and isn't worth his time. Molly learns about Sonny's attack on Dex from Blaze, who assures her that Kristina and the baby are fine. Molly panics about whether or not she should tell T.J., and whether it would be a mistake to talk to Kristina about everything, and blah blah blah, let's make this all about Molly. Alexis helps her decide that it's best not to bring it up to either T.J. or Kristina. Dante meets with Dex to make it clear that he's not going to try to influence him either way about Sonny. He supports Dex's decision not to press charges. He then talks to Kristina, who still feels bad for being the reason Sonny's going to get away with the assault. Dante can relate to not wanting him punished, but Kristina thinks that if (well, let's be honest – when) something like this happens again, there will still be pressure on her to ignore it. Michael can only think of reasons Drew shouldn't run for Congress, while Willow can only think of reasons he should. She convinces both of them that it's basically Drew's duty and that the world will be a better place if he does it. Georgie and James pressure Maxie into inviting Spinelli to move back in. Maxie's all for it, though she's not ready for them to share a bed and be fully couple-y yet. Spinelli isn't, either, but he agrees to move back in and take things slowly. Josslyn expresses concern for Kristina to Blaze, then admits that it's ironic that after so long wanting Kristina to see the truth about her father, now she regrets it all coming out.

A round of applause to Josslyn for actively trying to avoid a confrontation with Sonny for once in her life.

Awesome, they've already ruined T.J. and now they're ruining Molly, too. She's going to get as far as possible away from Kristina and her drama? That's your sister!

You're telling me that for 14 YEARS, Kristina has believed that Sonny shot Dante by accident?

Morgan mention – drink!

May 31st, 2024

Sonny wants to make the same deal with Jason as he did with Dex, i.e., getting him out of his life. This would mean severing their partnership of Corinthos Coffee, though, and Jason refuses to do so. Sonny accuses him of holding on to his half because the FBI told him to. Jason warns him that he's on the verge of being in major trouble, but Sonny, of course, isn't going to listen to him. As he tells Carly that whatever happens next is Jason's problem, a couple of guys ambush Jason and shoot at him. Someone talked to the Invader about what Laura's been doing to possibly get Heather's case reopened, and Laura isn't happy to be painted as trying to get her released. She thinks there was an internal leak, as if she and Jordan haven't been talking freely to people about the situation. Curtis tries to get her to see that changing or even ending Heather's sentence would be an insult to her victims and their loved ones, but Laura sticks to her convictions that Heather deserves to have her medical condition taken under consideration. Curtis tells Laura out right that she's making a mistake and vows to fight Heather's release if it comes to that. Meanwhile, Portia asks Molly about Heather's case and expresses the same desire as Curtis to try as hard as possible to ensure it doesn't happen. John tries to get Brennan released from the hospital so he can be taken back to Pentonville, but Portia won't let him since the surgeon hasn't approved his discharge. John has discovered that Brennan's lawyers keep filing motions to get his trial delayed, and he thinks it's because Brennan has something in the works that he needs to be around for. That makes sense, but John's other theory doesn't – he thinks that Anna stopping Brennan right before he was about to hurt Carly was a setup, and after Brennan's arrest, he handed over leadership of Pikeman to Anna. Molly goes to Carly for more information on Sonny's attack on Dex, and how Kristina responded. Carly feels bad that Kristina's eyes were opened the way they were, but at least now she knows the truth. Molly recommits to her decision not to tell T.J. anything, even after he gets a little suspicious that Kristina's "gone radio silent" (by which he means hasn't called in the last 48 hours). Chase tries to convince Elizabeth that Finn regrets acting out of character and is working on fixing everything. The conversation is kind of pointless because Elizabeth already knows that.

Jason's Spidey sense is still intact, I see.

I'm sorry but the sight of the coffee beans spilling out of a bag that took a bullet was funny.

Laura cannot be this dumb. She had to know that people would think the worst when they found out what she's doing.

God bless Curtis for standing up to Laura. Love that man.

John seems like he's just on the verge of putting together that, while Brennan isn't conspiring with Anna, he is conspiring with another of his old WSB pals.

Brennan's going to be mad that making Anna look like the head of Pikeman would work out perfectly for him and Valentin, but obviously Valentin will never go for it.

Why does Chase think he needs to advocate for Finn with Elizabeth? Why doesn't he think that Finn would have worked things out with her on his own?
