Anna lets Valentin and Charlotte know that she's moving into Maxie's old apartment, which thrills Charlotte (who then steals her keys). The two of them are able to coexist peacefully while with Valentin, though that doesn't really ease his mind. Anna asks Robert to help her move her only remaining possession – a chest that somehow wound up at Robin's house years ago and contains old documents from Anna's time in the WSB. Charlotte has a session with Kevin, and though we don't get to see it, he senses that she's holding something back and isn't as okay as she insists she is. He also thinks that her connection to Valentin is a little too intense, and she feels a need to protect him. A mention from Lois of the Brooklyn Bridge makes Ned remember kissing her there after their wedding. He goes back to working on that unfinished song Olivia thinks is about her, and Lois gives him encouragement. Brook tells Tracy straight out that she won't accept her gift of Deception. Tracy sticks to her story that she wants Brook to have a steady paycheck so she doesn't come out of the music business with nothing, like Lois did. Brook actually manages to get Tracy to back off by telling her that she feels like her confidence is being undermined. Tracy still says that she would never do anything to deliberately hurt Brook, and she hopes Brook is as successful as she thinks she'll be. Carly kicks Cyrus out of Kelly's when he shows up hoping to get a job there. He tries to play the I-saved-Drew's-life card, but Carly knows enough about the bad things he did in the past to not believe that he'll be on his best behavior now. Lucy begs Scott to find a loophole that will get her out of the deal with Tracy, because she's already fed up and Tracy has only done, like, one thing. Then she realizes that instead of getting back the whole 51 percent of Deception she gave up, she just needs to get back 2 percent to be in charge again. Diane invites Robert to some black-tie event, and there's way too much talk about how he needs a tux. Lucy tells Ava that a holding company has offered to buy Spoon Island for $25 million. Ava is picky about the details, despite being eager to be done with the property.
Anna and Robert couldn't have picked that lock?
"Aiden, Jake's brother" – yeah, he's your cousin. Call him your cousin.
Ned has had amnesia for almost five months and is just now recovering his first memory. At this rate, he'll be Eddie until 2028.
It would be hilarious if the holding company that wants to buy Spoon Island belongs to Nikolas.
Leo's Einstein costume is perfect.

Charlotte is definitely plotting something at Anna's apartment, but it's going to be tough for her to get away from Valentin to put whatever it is in motion. Michael keeps a close eye on Nina as she interacts with Wiley at a Halloween party and makes sure she remembers their arrangement. Cody makes Sasha get into the Halloween spirit, which she really enjoys, especially since it's a distraction from worrying about money. That means it's perfect timing when Maxie comes by and tells Sasha that she's being kept on as the face of Deception. Sasha is happy but also suspicious about why Tracy is so intent on having her stay on. Adam vents to Josslyn about an unsatisfactory grade on a big exam, since his parents apparently put a lot of pressure on him. Josslyn gives him encouragement, then promptly ditches him to go out with Dex. Felicia offers to help Anna look through everything in the chest to figure out who's targeting her, but Anna wants to do it alone. Spencer and Trina leave a party early to get some alone time at the gallery.
Charlotte, you had the perfect excuse to wear a mask in case someone saw you doing something you shouldn't.
Jake, seeing Charlotte standing at her front door, holding a keyring, just seconds after her father told her to lock the door: "What are those for?" Wow. Just...wow.
Why would you dress as Darth Vader when your wife is dressed as Leia?
I can't tell if the kids' costumes are too vague to be easily recognizable or I'm just too old to get them.
Carly, you can't host a Halloween party and not wear a costume.
How did Aiden get stuck at the kids' party instead of going trick-or-treating with Jake?
All the kids have attitudes now, except Scout. Scout is perfect.

Anna thinks that a guy named Forsythe is the one targeting her because she knows stuff she shouldn't from decades ago. Robert agrees that he could be behind everything and knows that he could do a lot of damage. Anna considers taking her proof of Forsythe's wrongdoings to Alexis to publish before Forsythe can confirm that she has it. While she and Robert are talking in his office, Charlotte ditches her friends and goes to Anna's apartment, where she looks through the chest but doesn't give any indication of what she's really there to do. When Anna gets home, she realizes that someone's there, and when she mistakes a cloaked Charlotte's flashlight for a weapon, she shoots her. Sam checks on Carly, because that's all she's allowed to do now, and helps distract her from her worries about Drew. The fact that they haven't been able to contact him makes things more difficult, but it turns out that that's because he's busy being released from Pentonville. Willow has another dream about Harmony and wonders if she's just nervous that things with Nina will fall apart after becoming so great. She also thinks that someone close to her is lying to her. Michael sidesteps that and tells her that he just wants her to be happy, so he's okay with her relationship with Nina. Molly and Kristina made up off-screen and are just as close as ever, to Alexis' relief. Jake goes off looking for Charlotte alone, so when Valentin only gets back two of the kids he sent out trick-or-treating, he's understandably concerned. Kevin and Laura are basically filler, only talking about Charlotte and stuff we've already covered.
Did they...did they just...have Anna shoot a teenager? DID THEY REALLY GO THERE?
I kept getting the feeling yesterday that Drew was going to show up at Kelly's at the end of the episode, so it's nice to have my instincts validated today.
"It's the Davis family. It has to be a girl." So Danny doesn't count as a Davis?
"Don't make me look like a jerk." You're doing that just fine on your own, Valentin.
November 6th, 2023
Jake shows up at Anna's just as she discovers that the person she shot was Charlotte. They jump into emergency mode and are taking care of things when Valentin arrives. Dante gets called to the scene and has the unenviable job of questioning his friend and former boss about how she came to shoot a teenager. Anna is deeply shaken by the fact that she shot a child, let alone her boyfriend's daughter. Once Charlotte is at the hospital (where Elizabeth totally jinxed things by commenting to Finn that it was a quiet night), Anna tries to apologize to Valentin, who can't handle talking to her right now. Jake feels responsible, but Valentin promises he's not and seems to get that, actually, he's the one who could have prevented all this. Carly tells Drew all about the efforts to get him out of Pentonville, making herself seem like the big hero out of everyone, as if Alexis didn't do most of the work. Anyway, they're very happy to be back together, and he's eager to see Scout in the morning, and I'm sure everything will be great for them from now on and there's nothing to worry about. Esme tells Laura that she's planning to move out, partly because she's developing feelings for Spencer. Laura thinks that his relationship with Trina might also factor into the decision. She supports the move but wonders how Spencer will feel about it. Chase is on my side in thinking that Brook should accept Deception from Tracy and then sign it over to Lucy, Maxie, and Sasha. Brook suspects that Tracy has something up her sleeve to stop that from happening, so Brook will need to get a little devious to best her. Danny feels like he should have done more to make sure everyone stuck together while trick-or-treating, especially because he thinks Charlotte listens to him. Sam tells him that he sounds like Jason, who also always thought that he had to keep things under control.
This episode goes on Finola Hughes' Emmy reel.
How did Jake know where Charlotte was?
How convenient that Dante's administrative leave is suddenly, unceremoniously over.
I would totally risk having to deal with Tracy if trick-or-treating at the Quartermaines' meant the possibility of full-size candy bars.
It's weird to hear Danny call Valentin "Mr. Cassadine" when they're related.
November 7th, 2023
While Valentin, Laura, Kevin, and Nina wait for news on Charlotte (and wonder what she was up to), Anna hangs out at Sonny's, where she spent the night (??). She's still horrified by what she did and, in a way, traumatized. She even wonders if she observed things that justified firing her gun. Dante, Mac, Jordan, and Robert try to puzzle out why Charlotte was in Anna's apartment and whether Anna could face any legal consequences. They start putting things together and determine that Anna was likely justified in firing her weapon, but they still have answers to some of their questions. Jordan thinks that since all of them have personal relationships with Anna, they might need to call in an outside investigator. Later, Dante tells Sam that Charlotte had spraypaint in her backpack like the kind used to write "murderer" on Anna's door. Sam and Scout are both thrilled to see Drew, who promises his daughter that he's back for good. He also makes it a priority to thank Alexis for the big role she played in his release. Curtis gets some advice from his rehab buddy Devin about basically embracing who he is now and sharing it with his family. Gregory helps Alexis decide whether she should report on Charlotte's shooting even though her family was involved and Charlotte's a minor.
Anna went to Sonny's? Come ON.
"I can sympathize because I once shot a guy who turned out to be my son" isn't as comforting as you think it might be, Sonny.
"Carly got a call about Charlotte." ?? Why?
Gregory, maybe don't say "straight shooter" right now.

Ned is still stuck on that song he's been working on forever, so Lois tries to help him figure out what to do to finish it. She encourages him to dive in and take a leap of faith, which he takes literally by jumping in the lake. On her way to Amsterdam to wrap up everything with Luke's estate, Tracy once again presses Olivia to do something to get Ned back to his normal self. She also hints that Lois may take advantage of Ned and Olivia's changed relationship to get her ex back. Lois makes it clear to Olivia that she would never move in on her man, and she's crazy to listen to anything Tracy says. Carly couldn't even go 24 hours after Drew's release without bringing up the whistleblower mystery again. Michael puts the hypothetical out there that it wasn't Ned, and that the real whistleblower was targeting Carly, not Drew. Drew asks them both to drop it since it's all in the past now. Sasha has a full day, mediating peace between Maxie and Brook, helping Maxie deal with Georgie's trauma over Charlotte's shooting, and booking her first big photo shoot back at Deception. Sonny tells Ava everything he's learned about Mason, Austin, and Cyrus, adding that Ava has literally been sleeping with the enemy. Ava realizes that Austin has likely been lying to her and manipulating her from the beginning. Brook again refuses to accept Deception from Tracy, which Lois thinks is a mistake, or at least it is in whatever scheme she's cooking up. Chase questions Austin about Ava's kidnapping, but Austin claims not to have any involvement and lies that he and Mason aren't close. Chase moves on to Mason, who also won't talk and seems to think he can make a deal with Robert that will let him go free. Austin seems to expect Mason to sell out Cyrus, which Mason knows would just sign his death warrant.
Don't go yet, Tracy! Thanksgiving is in two weeks!
"Did I miss the memo about Tense Tuesdays?" Heh.
Anyone who thinks Carly will drop the whistleblower stuff just because Drew asked her to, congratulations on being born yesterday. And her figuring it out would be perfect for Michael – he would get Nina busted without having to lift a finger.
I like that they've mentioned how traumatized the kids are by what happened to Charlotte. That feels realistic to me. I also like that their parents immediately got them into therapy.
15 years ago, Sam and Elizabeth despised each other. Today, they're in a group text together. Wild.
November 9th, 2023
Olivia jumps in the lake looking for Ned, and they spend literally the whole episode swimming. Eventually his memories start to come back, but then she has to save him from drowning. Charlotte tells Valentin and Nina that she only went to Anna's apartment to return her keys. Valentin doesn't believe her, but Nina thinks that for now, he should just be grateful that she's alive and will be okay. Anna wants to talk to Valentin about what happened with Charlotte, to make sure he hears her side of the story, but Sonny thinks she should keep her distance for now. Dante tells them about the spraypaint in Charlotte's backpack and the keyring she brought with her to the apartment. Even with that information, Anna can't put together why Charlotte might have broken in. She does, however, start to suspect that Forsythe somehow got her to do his dirty work. Lois wants Brook to accept Deception from Tracy not just because it's guaranteed income and less work than a music career, but also because the best way to take down a queen is from inside the castle. Also, Lois was going to go back to Brooklyn, but she decides to stick around a little longer to see Tracy's downfall. The temperamental photographer Sasha is supposed to work with objects to shooting a weak drug user. Maxie convinces him that Sasha is better, and Sasha herself impresses him right away, so things go great. The theme of the shoot is the Garden of Eden, so Maxie books a baby alpaca, which happens to get brought to set by Cody, because guess what, the Quartermaines now have an adorable baby alpaca named Ferdinand. Cody gets heart eyes for Sasha, and if he didn't already have a crush on her, he definitely does now. Laura is too busy telling Spencer what happened to Charlotte to give him the heads-up that Esme wants to move out. Esme breaks the news by announcing that she's already found an apartment. Spencer is frustrated that Laura supports what he sees as Esme taking Ace from him, and he insists that Esme can't care for Ace on her own. Stella confides to Felicia that one of the reasons she's stayed in Port Charles, other than to be there for Curtis, is that she fell in love back in London and turned down her boyfriend when he proposed. She knew that marrying him would have meant permanently relocating to London, and she's not ready for that.
Anna Devane, super-spy, couldn't figure out how Charlotte got into her apartment even after remembering that she lost her key? Really?
I hate this but Sonny is right x2 – Anna should want for Valentin to contact her, and her theory about Forsythe using Charlotte doesn't make sense. That said, the truth is likely that Victor used tarot cards to make her do his bidding, so I guess Anna gets credit for coming up with a reasonable explanation.
What does Maxie care if Cody's in the photos? If the photographer's happy, just go with it.
"Unfortunately, the lamb I booked got laryngitis." If I were Kirsten Storms, I would be shopping around at other soaps, because look at the ridiculous stuff they're giving her here.
Ferdinand is so cute, I lost the power of speech.
Felicia blaming herself for Charlotte's shooting just because she helped Anna get an apartment is reaaaaaaally stretching.

Olivia saves Ned, whose memory is pretty much all back. He thinks that he became Eddie because things were so confusing that he just clung to something familiar and freeing. Now, though, he's happy to be himself again and thinks it makes total sense that Olivia was the one to save him, because his song was always about her. Charlotte tells Laura that Victor warned her that Anna was going to do bad things and leave Valentin to deal with the fallout. She thinks that Anna's only nice to her to fool her, and that she shot Charlotte on purpose. Valentin finally tells Anna that Charlotte has been the one messing with her all along. Anna is furious with him for not telling her, because if she'd known she was being targeted by a teenager, she would have handled everything differently. Now she has to live the rest of her life knowing that she shot a child. She tries to go see Charlotte, but Laura prevents her, telling her that Charlotte is terrified of her. Alexis meets Blaze and strikes up a conversation about her experiences with Linc. Kristina suggests that the two of them work together on a piece about sexual harassment in the music industry. Blaze is hesitant, and Kristina apologizes for being so straightforward, but Blaze appreciates that she doesn't censor herself or just say what she thinks Blaze wants to hear. With her support, Blaze agrees to do the piece. Alexis becomes the first person to notice that her feelings for Kristina seem to go beyond friendship. Spencer expects sympathy when he tells Trina, Josslyn, and Dex that Esme is moving out, but Trina is just relieved. Spencer yells at her and misinterprets her positivity about the situation, accusing her of being happy that he's having a member of his family taken away from him. Josslyn's like, "First of all, lower your voice. Second of all, she's moving across town, not across the country." Dex is surprisingly insightful about what Spencer's feeling, but Spencer's so resistant to the change that it's hard for anyone to not roll their eyes. Trina says that he needs to remember that he's Ace's brother, not his father, and the only way he would ever be Ace's father is if he were in a relatonship with Esme. Eventually, it comes down to Spencer thinking that Trina wants him to choose between her and Ace, and he warns her not to go down that road because she won't like the answer. That's when she storms out. Drew and Curtis catch up, and Curtis confides that he feels like his family sees him differently now. It looks like Drew's return will be good for his mental state, since Drew wants to keep doing the things they've always done as friends.
Ned, please stay away from bodies of water from now on.
Interesting that Olivia thought that Ned went to the lake to kill himself. I didn't get the sense that he was that depressed. Mostly because "Eddie" always seemed low-key depressed.
If Finola Hughes doesn't get an Emmy for her work this week, something is wrong in the world.
Elizabeth made a good point – Anna took a big risk walking around with a gun on Halloween.
Blaze's view of Kristina being so different from everyone else's might be the best thing to ever happen to Kristina.
You can be mad at Esme and even Laura all you want, Spencer, and you can be frustrated that Trina isn't on your side here, but if you yell at her again, I'm gonna have to feed nyou to some piranhas, okay?
November 13th, 2023
Anna tells Jordan and Dante (off the record) that Charlotte was the person who's been messing with her for months. Dante figures out that she might have been the person who burned down Anna's house. Jordan notes that she definitely wasn't the sniper, which somehow makes it more likely that Sonny was the target there. Anna doesn't want Charlotte investigated, which is why the conversation is off the record, but she's not sure how she'll be able to get more information out of Charlotte on her own. Ned remembers overhearing Nina and Martin's conversation and tells Olivia that Nina was the whistleblower. She thinks he should keep quiet, since the Corinthos contingent has finally achieved some peace, and revealing what Nina did would upend it. Ned objects to continuing to let people think he was the whistleblower, but he agrees to say nothing for now, for Olivia's sake. He has enough other stuff going on right now anyway, what with letting his family know he's himself again and going back to work. Nina confronts Martin for confirming to Michael that she was the whistleblower, but he thinks she should be more concerned with how serious Michael is about making her pay. She starts to check off another demand on Michael's list, offering to sell Carly's half of the hotel back to her, and happens to bring it up just moments before Willow joins them. Charlotte apologizes to Jake for ruining his Halloween, which she says she did because she needed to protect Valentin from Anna. Michael continues failing to hide that he doesn't like Nina's closeness to his family, and Willow continues beleiving that she's changed and that everything will be sunshine and rainbows and butterflies. Brook and Lois want to have Blaze try different music styles, and since Yuri is apparently a big country fan, he helps them look into that possibility. This leads to Brook finding a song Blaze wrote (despite not being a songwriter) about having feelings for someone but not being able to express them. Drew thinks that with Valentin distracted and Ned uninterested, he and Michael should make another run at taking over ELQ. Gregory talks to Chase about how difficult it is to accept his diagnosis and what it means for his future. Chase once again offers his support.
Just because the shooter and the stalker are different people doesn't mean that Anna wasn't the shooter's target, but okay.
I don't think Anna can prevent the police from investigating Charlotte just because she asked. If she's suspected of arson, that's probably not a situation where Anna can refuse to press charges and nothing happens.
Like I said about Michael, Ned should tell one person – in this case, Drew – who the whistleblower is and let Drew take it from there.
"My life was turned into a living hell." A few people were mad at you, Ned. Let's not get dramatic.
November 14th, 2023
Laura tells Valentin and Nina that Charlotte admitted to trying to scare Anna out of town and to hating her because of Victor. Valentin finds the letter he wrote her, so now the three of them have put pretty much everything together, save for the role of the tarot cards. Dante encourages Austin to give up the name of Mason's boss. When he hints that Austin himself could be on the suspect list for that role, Austin blurts out that he saved Ava. He has to backtrack and claim that he was talking about the night Ryan and Heather went to Spoon Island (you know, when he took a hook in the back and decidedly did not save anyone). Dante leaves the conversation curious about the exact nature of Ava and Austin's relationship. Cyrus seems to have made arrangements for Mason to only serve time for kidnapping, not attempted murder, if he leaves Cyrus' name out of everything. Mason wants to pin everything on Austin, saying that he seduced Ava to get her money, then kidnapped her when things didn't work out. Cyrus wants Austin available to do his medical-related bidding, so he won't support that plan. Finn is being sued for malpractice by the wife of a patient he didn't diagnose with cancer until there was nothing left that could be done for him. Terry and Portia feel bad for him but can't do much to help him. Elizabeth, however, jumps right into problem-solving mode. Spencer tries to convince Esme not to move out, since the two of them are a good team and it's better for Ace if they keep living together. Esme sticks to her decision, saying it's so both of them can start building their own lives. Spencer manages to stay semi-calm and polite for longer than I expected, but of course, the discussion ends on a sour note. Carly asks Sonny why Nina might have approached her about buying back her half of the hotel. Their only theory is that Charlotte's shooting made Nina want to work less and spend more time with her loved ones. Sonny offers to give Carly the money it would take to make the purchase, but she cuts him off before he even finishes his sentence. Trina talks to Ava about her fight with Spencer, and Ava is surprisingly able to see both sides of the situation (though she's still Team Trina, of course).
I really think that since the wedding, Nina has spent more time with Valentin than with Sonny.
I guess I'm used to doctors on medical shows throwing tantrums when they get sued for malpractice, so it was refreshing to see Finn handle the news so maturely.
Wait, so if you tell a patient they need more tests and they don't submit to the tests in time for you to make an early diagnosis, they can sue you?
Spencer, you are handling this so badly that I'm siding with Esme. Fix it.
Unless they changed the meaning of the word "ultimatum," Spencer didn't give Trina an "ultimatum."
November 15th, 2023
Molly is thinking about finding a new job that will give her more time with her family after the baby comes. This is horrible timing, as just as she's sharing that with Kristina, Andrea is telling T.J. that she lost the baby. She doesn't want to have to face Molly, so she leaves T.J. to give her the news alone. T.J. turns to Portia first, confiding how devastated he is to lose something he and Molly wanted so much. With Deception back on the upswing, Home & Heart welcomes Sasha back on the show (after she warns that she'll walk away if they try to mess with her again, and Lucy brings Scott along to keep an eye on things). Everything goes perfectly this time, thanks to a surprise appearance by Cody, orchestrated by Maxie. Both the network and Deception reap the benefits, but Sasha's not happy. Cody hears her telling Maxie that she doesn't want to work with him again because she has feelings for him. Cyrus lets Austin know that as long as Mason cooperates, Austin will be off the hook for anything related to Ava's kidnapping. Austin doubts that Mason will go along with the plan, which will have him spending at least ten years in prison. Austin is eager to be totally done with Cyrus, but Cyrus makes it clear that Austin will have to do his bidding until Cyrus says he's done. He demands Austin's gratitude and loyalty in a way that says it's not negotiable. Curtis has taken up meditation, and he's surprised to learn that Marshall practices it, too. In fact, it's what brought him to Port Charles – he had a vision/memory of Curtis and Thomas, and he decided he wanted to reconnect with his family. Diane vents to Alexis about how just when it seemed like the path to a relationship with Robert was clear, Anna had to go and get herself in trouble. Though she doesn't like that Robert may have to spend some time helping another ex, she appreciates that he's the sort of person who would do that. Andrea's miscarriage has made Portia grateful for what she has, and she thanks Curtis for giving her Trina.
Raise your hand if you're surprised that Andrea lost the baby. Yeah, I didn't think so.
Can we please be done with Home & Heart forever?
I'd love to see Sam and Maxie scheming together to fix up Cody and Sasha.
I'm making a mental list of people who should meditate with Curtis. I'll be done in two months or so.
November 16th, 2023
Anna fills Sonny in on the Valentin/Charlotte stuff and the damage Valentin did to their relationship by keeping secrets. She also tells him her suspicious about Forsythe and the dirt she has on him. But when she goes home to get it, it's no longer in the trunk. Ava tears into Austin for lying to her for months and not revealing that Cyrus was a threat. He tells her a little about Cyrus' history with his family and Austin's obligations to him. Ava doesn't care, since there were plenty of times he could have told the police or Sonny what Cyrus was up to, and because he didn't, Ava almost ended up dead. Austin confesses his feelings for her, which still doesn't ease her anger. T.J. gives Molly the news about Andrea's miscarriage, and he and Alexis try to comfort her. Molly regrets getting her hopes up and decides not to do anything baby-related until she has an actual baby to take care of. Maxie tells Sasha that it's okay that she has feelings for Cody because he has feelings for her, too. Cody admits that what started at friendship developed into something else while he and Sasha were hiding out together. Sasha isn't ready for a relationship with him yet, and though she thinks she will be some day, she doesn't know when that will be. Cody is fully willing to wait. Adam gets a little too intense with Josslyn when she says she doesn't have time to study with him, and Dex feels the need to jump in and make sure nothing happens. Josslyn feels bad for Adam but thinks he's just unable to deal with stress in a healthy way. She's probably right, since he takes some pills later. Dante updates Sam on the Charlotte situation, which Sam isn't sure all the others involved are viewing correctly. She's not clear on Charlotte's motives and whether she's capable of burning down someone's house. She thinks that Charlotte's actions are connected to the WSB, like maybe she thinks Anna deserves to pay for things she got away with years ago.
I can't believe none of Anna's friends arranged for someone to clean up the blood in her apartment so she wouldn't have to deal with it.
Of the three new Mollys, I think this one is the best actress.
I'm sorry, no, Adam doesn't get a plotline before Sam, Maxie, and Chase get their own.
I'm thinking medicine isn't the right career path for Adam if this is the way he handles pressure and stress.
November 17th, 2023
Austin offers to give Dante evidence linking Mason to his boss in exchange for immunity. Dante admits to Robert that he doesn't expect Austin to follow through, even though Austin seems determined to do the right thing, but Robert agrees to the immunity deal if he does. That may not happen, since someone is waiting for Austin when he gets home, and Austin ends up bleeding on his living room floor. Curtis and Marshall set aside their feelings about Spencer to help Trina figure out what she wants from their relationship and what she's willing to put up with. She determines that Spencer is one of her top priorities, and Curtis tells her that now she needs to find out if he feels the same way. Meanwhile, Josslyn has a come-to-Jesus conversation with Spencer, telling him to stop acting like he did as a kid and accept that he won't always get what he wants. As much as he doesn't want to have to choose between Ace and Trina, he kind of has to. Cyrus tells Laura and Jordan that he's gotten a job washing dishes at a restaurant and thinks he can work his way up as he builds his new, definitely-not-criminal life. Jordan doesn't buy a word of what he says, knowing that Cyrus has only ever wanted power. Though Laura admits that it's entirely possible that he's changed, she's not naïve enough to stop keeping an eye on him. Carly and Willow tell Michael about Nina's offer to sell the Metro Court back to Carly, and he of course plays dumb about the whole thing. He and Willow encourage Carly to accept, and he offers up money for the sale. Carly hasn't decided yet which job she wants, but she does know that if she's going to get the hotel back, it'll be on her own. Robert thinks that Anna is avoiding him because she's afraid he'll say, "I told you so" about her relationship with Valentin. Felicia's like, "I think she's too busy thinking about the fact that she shot a child to worry about that, you bozo." Sonny questions Nina's offer to Carly and calls bull when she says it has nothing to do with him, considering how intertwined their families are.
This is a great opportunity to kill off Austin and bring Roger Howarth back as yet another character.
If only T.J. or Jordan would tell Dante that they think Mason works for Cyrus.
Weird that Trina's first thought when discussing past romantic feelings was of Cameron and not Rory, who she actually dated.
When Josslyn calms down and listens to other people, she's a good advice-giver.
November 20th, 2023
Trina finally agrees to hear Spencer out, then tells him that she's going to start putting herself first. She doesn't want to be around Esme anymore, so if Spencer wants to be with her, he'll have to get some distance from Esme and Ace. Spencer more or less does the thing he said he wouldn't, choosing Trina over Ace, or at least choosing his relationship over being Ace's father figure. Ned is about to tell Michael and Drew that Nina was the whistleblower when he learns that Michael has been making deals for ELQ and doing other CEO-type stuff while Ned was Eddie and Valentin was off doing other stuff. Drew thinks Michael is justified and doing a better job than Ned could with the deals. The guys' rivalry is back in plan, and Drew is more eager than ever to mobilize a takeover. Josslyn takes Adam to the hospital after he has a panic attack during a test. He blames it and his physical symptoms on some pills he took, which Josslyn recognizes as amphetamines. She tries to give him advice, but from what he's indicated before, changing his major and letting go of what his parents want for him won't be that easy. Blaze invites Kristina to hang out at the studio while she records a guest track for a song that Brook thinks is going to be huge. Blaze admits that touring is lonely and worries that she'll screw up her shot at advancing her career. Just as Blaze has done for her, Kristina gives her encouragement and tries to keep her optimistic. Carly thinks that Nina offered her back her half of the hotel because she wants to make peace for Willow's sake. Nina's like, "Yeah, we'll go with that." Carly declines the offer, which makes Nina worry about what Michael will do next. Alexis gives Finn some guidance on his malpractice suit, which she thinks he could easily lose. She's able to get Diane to agree to take the case, though, so Finn's odds of winning are up, as are his hopes. Terry has to try to keep her professional life separate from her friendships because of Finn's malpractice suit which puts both her and Elizabeth in awkward positions.
Now THAT is an ultimatum, Trina.
No college student makes their bed as neatly as Josslyn and Trina do.
Why do people think Nina's having financial problems? She just married a super-rich guy.
Can we have Eddie back?
Drew, your Edward is showing. It's not a good look.

Nina gets Charlotte to admit to the two acts of vandalism she committed and the third she'd planned on Halloween. She says again that she only wanted to get Anna to leave town, and she promises that she had nothing to do with the fire. Valentin shows Anna the letter Victor sent Charlotte, which helps her understand that everything Charlotte did was because of some kind of programming and the fear that her father was in danger. Valentin thinks that once Charlotte's been deprogrammed, everything will be great and the three of them can be a family, or whatever. Anna tells him that she can't trust him, and just as Charlotte is going to carry the trauma of her shooting with her forever, Anna also won't be able to forget it. The best way for her to move forward is to see as little of Valentin as possible. Meditation has made Curtis realize how much he misses investigating and solving crimes. He has a renewed interest in finding out who shot him, and he asks Jordan to get him access to the police's files on the case. She agrees as long as the two of them work together. Diane can't represent Finn after all, since his patient's father-in-law has her on retainer, which means he'll actually be fighting against her in court. Finn tries to keep his troubles from Gregory, but ultimately tells him that, worst-case scenario, this could be the end of his medical career. Gregory is ready to help his son take on this challenge and do whatever it takes to win the case. Sonny accuses Cyrus of ratting him out to the feds and gloats that his big plan fell apart. Cyrus, of course, claims he wasn't involved, and he swears that everything he's done since getting out of prison has been totally legal. Sonny warns that he's keeping an eye on Cyrus and orders him to stay away from everyone Sonny cares about. Maxie really wants Cody to be the male face of Deception, even though she knows that Sasha doesn't want to work with him. Cody declines the offer, not wanting to give Sasha any more stress in her life. Sasha overhears and agrees to work with him for the good of Deception. Carly tells Drew about her decision to let go of the hotel and continue running Kelly's instead. It goes along with her plans to move forward instead of dwelling on the past. Drew says something about not letting people who've hurt you before do it again. He's talking about Ned, whose reaction to the news that Michael has been making decisions at ELQ makes Drew think that he was the whistleblower.
I have never understood the appeal of Anna and Valentin as a couple, so I have no problem with them likely splitting up. I assume that when Sonny and Nina inevitably split up as well, she and Valentin will get back together.
Portia's just going to love that Curtis talked all this over with Jordan before her, and that the two of them are going to be working together.
They're already spending way too much time on this malpractice storyline that I guarantee no one cares about.
I feel like Maxie's scenes today were written for Lucy and then got changed for some reason. The dialogue just didn't seem like it was written for her. And I can't see Maxie caring more about business than respecting Sasha's wishes. If she'd wanted Sasha to work with Cody, she would have talked to Sasha, not Cody.

Dante and Chase investigate the death of a man who held multiple IDs in the same name and appears to have been hit by a big vehicle. Dante pieces together that he was Forsythe, which Anna confirms when she views the body. The questions now are who killed him and what happened to the documents stolen from Anna's apartment that incriminated him. Alexis warns Gregory that Diane is going to make things very hard for Finn in court, and his chances of winning the malpractice suit are slim. She thinks Martin is a good second choice as Finn's lawyer, since he's been able to make Valentin look sympathetic and should be able to do the same for Finn, who often comes off a little prickly. Gregory doesn't like Martin's assumptions that Finn screwed up with the patient, but he agrees that Martin is the kind of person Finn needs representing him. Curtis asks Nina to give him access to anything he might need at the hotel while looking into his shooting. She happily provides it, hoping as much as he does that he'll get some answers. She confides that even though things are going great for her, she's worried about losing everything. She also spills that Michael is making things difficult for her. Anna sneaks in to see Charlotte, wanting to explain herself that Victor has Charlotte fooled. This goes horribly, as Charlotte is terrified of Anna and thinks her life is in danger again. Valentin is livid, and even Elizabeth is like, "That was the dumbest thing I've seen all month." Anna thinks that Valentin blames her for the shooting, but he admits that he blames himself. Sonny feels guilty for not doing anything to stop Gladys, and he offers to reimburse Sasha all the money Gladys stole from her. Sasha declines, since all she wants is for Gladys to stay away forever. She gets Sonny to agree to the compromise of donating to a mental-health-related charity in Brando and Liam's names instead. Jordan tells Laura about her and Curtis' investigation into his shooting and gets permission to use whatever resources they need. She's happy that Curtis is so engaged in something and is focusing on what he can still do rather than what he can't do. Laura and Martin discuss Cyrus and how they wish they could let themselves believe that he's changed. They're not sure what to do about him, but Jordan doesn't think they need to do anything – he'll eventually commit a crime, and a jury will make a decision for them.
Let's all agree not to tell Finn that Alexis compared him to Valentin.
Anna, that was a stupid idea and you know it.
I really like Sasha's idea for Sonny to make a donation on Brando and Liam's behalf, but knowing him, he'll end up funding a whole hospital wing named after them.
Also, I kind of want Sonny to make Selina give back all the money she got from Gladys.
What's the point of being the mayor if you can't banish people from your town?

Lois tries to break the Quartermaine Thanksgiving curse by inviting her mother, Gloria, to help her cook a traditional dinner (though it seems to me that Yuri does most of the work). People keep jinxing things, and just when it looks like everything will go smoothly for once, the smoke alarm goes off. Anna wants to mope alone instead of celebrating Thanksgiving, but Robert cheers her up with a surprise visit from Emma. She seems to be past whatever issues she had with Anna after she was exposed as a double agent, and though she feels horrible for Charlotte, she also sympathizes with Anna over making such a big mistake. Charlotte overhears Valentin and Laura talking about how they need to confront her, so they tell her that they know everything she did to Anna. She's understandably upset when they accuse her of setting the fire, which she swears she didn't do. She also still thinks that Victor was right not to trust Anna. Everyone at the Quartermaines' thinks that Sasha and Cody are dating (especially Leo), and it makes Sasha worry that she's being disloyal to Brando by moving on. Cody assures her that moving on doesn't mean forgetting the people she's lost. The Davis women come together to support Molly and T.J., inviting Jordan and Blaze to join them. Somehow, there's more talk about how T.J.'s considering specializing in neurology than there is about the fact that Blaze and Kristina are totally into each other. When Brook refers to the Quartermaines' mansion as "home," Chase worries that she wants to move back there. In turn, she worries that he wants her to move out. They work things out – much faster than they would have in the past, as Chase notes – and agree that they're happy with things the way they are.
Heh. This episode's guest stars were a character from Brooklyn and an actress named Brooklyn.
Forgive me but I don't care even the tiniest bit what's going on with Gloria.
LOL at Yuri being like, "I miss you, Terry. These people are crazy."
This just in: Brooklyn Silzer is now as tall as Finola Hughes.
This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for Ferdinand.
Why did Sam and Alexis look like they were talking about Blaze and Kristina, then go over and only talk to T.J.? In fact, as far as I could tell, the only people who talked to Blaze were Kristina and Jordan. They should have had Alexis, Sam, and Molly interrogating Blaze to make sure she's good enough for Kristina, and teasing Kristina about the whole thing.

Thanks to a small fire and the sprinklers in the kitchen, the Quartermaines' Thanksgiving is once again ruined. Lois gets Nina to agree to cater their meal, but the hotels is out of turkeys, so they're having pizza again. The food delivery puts Nina in proximity to Wiley, and Michael is not happy about it. It also puts her in proximity to Ned for the first time since he recovered his memories, and he lets her know that he remembers everything but isn't going to bring it up right now. Lois gets Gloria to tell her what has her so distracted and concerned: She yelled at what sounds like the wife of a Russian mobster, and since she won't apologize, the Russians are targeting her dog. Yuri overhears them talking and offers to help. Anna confronts Nina for deleting the security footage of Charlotte, which she sees as enabling Charlotte. Nina tells her to take it up with Valentin. Anna wonders how Sonny would react if he knew about her involvement. Nina doesn't want to find out, and she glosses over why there's tension between her and Anna when Sonny asks. The Ashfords didn't plan to make a big deal out of Thanksgiving, since Portia had to work and Trina was supposedly spending the day studying (she was actually spending at least part of that time with Spencer). Trina decides she wants to be with Curtis on their first Thanksgiving as father and daughter, and Portia comes home early, surprised to learn that Trina and Spencer worked things out and are doing well. Things are a little awkward, but everyone's on their best behavior and Curtis is grateful to have everyone there. Diane isn't thrilled when Robert brings Anna and Emma along to have dinner with her, but things go pretty well. Emma almost makes Robert choke when she asks how long he and Diane have been dating, and Diane is pleased when he says it's been a month. Nina leaves some gifts for Wiley and Amelia, which Michael thinks is a passive-aggressive jab because she wasn't able to spend Thanksgiving with them. Willow's like, "Please stop being weird and let my mother do normal grandparent things for her grandchildren." Sonny takes Avery over to Carly's, and Josslyn invites Ava over, so there's a weird mix of people there for Thanksgiving.
This Gloria stuff isn't the dumbest thing the show has ever done, but that's not really saying much.
Uh-oh, I think Marshall's starting to like Spencer. Portia's going to feel betrayed.
I kind of wanted Diane to get drunk and yell at Robert for not telling her he was bringing his ex and granddaughter to dinner.
I laughed out loud at Sonny basically being like, "Dex, I'm going to let you say hi to your girlfriend. YOU'RE WELCOME."
It's pretty impressive that in a group of eight, Ava still managed to be a fifth wheel.

Sonny finally tells Dante that Mason and Austin have been working for Cyrus. Dante immediately tries to get in touch with Austin, instead reaching a Pautauk detective named Briscoe who informs him that Austin was murdered. Dante's like, "Hey, Dad, anything you want to tell me?" Sonny's like, "You know that if I'd killed him, his body wouldn't still be at the place where he was killed. Don't you know me at all?" He thinks it's a conflict of interest for Dante to investigate, but Dante is sure it's fine since Pautauk has jurisdiction and he'd just be assisting. The jury's out on whether Briscoe will agree. Drew wants Scout to go to private school, and he's made a great arrangement with a business associate who can make that happen. Scout agrees, even though she's clearly not excited about it, and later admits to Sam that she doesn't want to switch schools. Cyrus eavesdrops on Laura and Alexis as they discuss various topics, like Spencer, Charlotte, and Anna. Alexis asks the question on everyone's mind: Is he really reformed? Laura has decided that he deserves a second chance, so until he does something to prove that he's still a villain, she'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Molly wants to find a new surrogate and try for another baby right away, but T.J. still needs time to process their loss. He's also not thrilled that she made a decision to proceed without consulting him, so he's really not going to be happy when he finds out that she's meeting with the surrogacy matcher again. Elizabeth thinks that Finn is having trouble dealing with anger over the lawsuit, even though he seems like his normal, even-tempered self. She assures him that he didn't do anything wrong, but when he meets with the hospital's lawyer and goes over the facts of the case, he realizes that, actually, he might have. Portia and Elizabeth can't get in touch with Austin when he doesn't show up for a shift. Elizabeth goes above and beyond to try to track him down, ultimately thinking that something bad has happened and they need to get the police involved.
If Dante would stop and think for a minute, he'd realize that Austin was probably killed because he was going to rat out Cyrus, so Sonny wouldn't have killed him because that's exactly what he wants.
I love the visual of Sonny's car parked across multiple parking spaces, because of course he thinks he's above the law, but I also don't see him doing anything so flagrantly wrong that the police would come after him.
Scout interviewing Drew was so cute. I think the girl who plays her does a great job for someone so young.
"Your mom and I bought another man's business." LOL, that man was Julian, AKA Scout's grandfather. I love that Drew won't say his name.
If Laura and Alexis want to keep Charlotte and Anna's names quiet, they need to use inside voices when they discuss them in public.
Elizabeth can't really think that she's telling Finn, who's been a doctor since she was in high school (...somehow), anything he hasn't heard before.
Why was Elizabeth the one trying to find Austin? The hospital doesn't have clerks or receptionists or whoever to do stuff like that?

Sonny tells Ava that Austin was murdered and asks if she did it. She denies it, but he thinks she's going to be a suspect. Her name does come up with Dante, Chase, and Briscoe, since she's one of the few people in Port Charles who Austin associated with. Dante questions Mason, who points the finger at Ava, since she and Austin were up to some not-so-legal things. Lois and Gloria agree to let Yuri help Gloria work things out with a guy named Petrov, the mob-associated husband of the woman she ticked off. Yuri used to be Petrov's beloved nephew's trombone teacher, so Petrov is okay with him mediating. But it's Brook who saves the day, as she's looking for a trombone player for a musician she represents, and Petrov happens to like the musician and want great things for his nephew. Gloria reluctantly accepts the terms of the deal that lets her keep her dog, then immediately starts questioning when Brook and Chase will be getting married. Molly admits to Alexis that she's proceeding with the search for another surrogate without talking to T.J. about it. Alexis strongly advises her to get on the same page with him before doing anything. Maxie has a bunch of credit card debt and doesn't want to just let her parents take care of it for her. Martin proves to be the person Finn needs in his corner for the lawsuit, but he warns that Finn is in for an uphill battle.
Please tell me the police will find Nikolas' DNA in Austin's house.
Somewhere, Edward is beaming with pride over Brook's negotiation skills.
Would I be crazy to suggest that Maxie be Molly and T.J.'s surrogate? She needs money, she's done it before, and it's not like she's doing anything else.
Speaking of which, credit card debt doesn't count as a storyline for Maxie.

Ava dodges Dante's questions about Austin and his murder, but the fact that she doesn't have an alibi doesn't exactly make her look innocent. Then she gets a letter from Austin's killer, including a picture of his body and a note that says, "You're welcome." Sonny wants to get the whole family together on Christmas Eve, which will mean that Michael has to be okay with Nina spending time with his kids. He accuses Nina of using Sonny to get what she wants, which she says is ridiculous, because obviously Sonny isn't going to let himself be manipulated like that. Sonny can tell that there's still tension between them, and he'd really like it to end. Molly and Willow talk about having a baby after a loss and Willow's regrets over keeping secrets from Michael in the past. Even though Molly has gotten positive feedback, she feels like she's never going to be a mother. Sam confides to Kristina that though Scout doesn't want to change schools, she might not fight Drew on the transfer because she wants him to feel like an equal parent. Kristina thinks that after being out of Scout's life so much, he wants to feel like he can provide for her. Sam tells her that something about Drew has changed, but she's not sure what. James keeps finding excuses for Cody to hang out at the house, since he's tired of being the only boy there. Felicia seems to be putting together that Cody lied when he said Mac wasn't his biological father. T.J. talks to Portia about Molly's decision to find another surrogate and his uncertainty over whether they should jump back into the whole process so quickly. Portia thinks that since time moves quickly and they never know how long you have, they should go ahead.
Am I crazy or did Maura West play today's scenes like Ava was flirting with Dante?
It must be exhausting to be Michael. His Christmas present to all of us needs to be to stop stressing about Nina for, like, ten minutes.
Sam can't seriously be planning to sent Scout to a school she doesn't want to go to just so she doesn't hurt Drew's feelings.
Why is T.J. having these kinds of conversations with Portia instead of Jordan or Curtis?
