Jason reveals that he's been thinking about making changes ever since his son watched the WSB cart him off. He's no longer willing to kill for Sonny or do anything else that could land him in danger, both physical and legal. He also wants to set a good example for Danny, and that's even before Sonny tells him that Danny expressed interest in mobbing up. Sonny's sad to end their decades-long work relationship, but he understands why Jason wants this and gives his blessing. Anna apologetically tells Carly that she's known for months that Josslyn was in the WSB and wanted Brennan to tell her. Carly surprises herself by being grateful rather than furious, as she can tell that Anna really cares about Josslyn's well-being. Valentin senses that something isn't right with Anna and guesses that she's struggling with the aftermath of what she's been through the past few months. Gio, Trina, and Kai show up late for a meeting with Brook and Simon, at which it comes out that the label thinks that Gio and Trina are a couple and planned to market them that way. They object to the possibility of faking a relationship, but Brook assures them that she'll work everything out. Josslyn catches Brennan and Nina together and tries to convince her boss that he's make a big mistake getting involved with her. Brennan makes it clear that the topic is not up for discussion and he isn't interested in her opinions on his personal life. Elizabeth tries to reassure Dante that he did the right thing by protecting Rocco, even if it meant compromising his professional ethics. He appreciates that he has someone he can talk to about his big secret. Ric hangs around way too long and is way too suspicious of them. Valentin thinks that Brennan is only interested in Nina because she's his ex, and he tries to warn her away from him. Carly finds it hot. Anna is pleased to hear Emma say that she can never see herself working for the WSB. Peter plays on her love for her granddaughter to try to convince her that Britt will use Emma to get to her.
It took him five years but Jason finally realized that, actually, he can put his family ahead of Sonny.
I know Josslyn is new to the workforce but she has to know that you can't talk to your boss like that.
If I were Trina and Gio, I wouldn't want to be associated with a label that based an entire marketing strategy on an assumption.

Despite not liking that Phoebe will never get to learn anything about her birth father, Brook and Chase happily sign the adoption papers. Meanwhile, Hudson follows Ethan to Norway and confronts him for stealing from him and driving Delilah away. Ethan tells him that Delilah died, then lies that the baby did, too. Hudson beats him up and threatens to go after his mother and sisters if he learns that Ethan lied. Ethan calls Ava to quadruple-check that she'll keep quiet about his connection to the baby. Hudson listens through a bug and is very interested in what he hears. Never one to just be happy with what she has, Willow tells Nina and Obrecht that she's going to urge Anna to reopen Drew's shooting in hopes that Michael will be implicated. Obrecht notes that using her political office to get something she wants is very Drew-ish. She also advises Willow to leave Nina out of her machinations. Nina, however, has fully inserted herself by calling Brennan and telling him about Willow's plan. She's unaware that Trina has overheard. Martin moderates a conversation between Drew and Curtis in which Drew claims he wants to make amends, starting by helping Curtis in court. He's willing to testify that Joe misunderstood when he stated that Willow was near the crash site the night of the accident, which will ruin the prosecution's plans to present her as an alternative to Isaiah as the mystery driver. Curtis is smart enough not to trust him, even when Drew says he's trying to help ensure that Curtis doesn't lose time with his son. Carly tries to get Michael on her side about Josslyn's new job, but he thinks it's cool (well, except for the part where she got shot). Then he starts feeling bad about what he sees as neglecting his mother and sister, as if they needed his supervision, and as if he would have been able to put together what Josslyn was up to. They dismiss the "neglect" because he was busy dealing with Willow, and the three of them brace for another round of the never-ending custody mess. Ava wants to make Trina a partner in the gallery, but she's fully supportive of Trina's reasons to turn her down, and just happy that Trina wants to stay on part-time for a while. They discuss Ethan's sudden departure and how things are unfinished between him and Ava, which has left her feeling like she was conned.
Aww, Phoebe's middle name, Jacqueline, must be for Jackie.
I cracked up at Gio going, "La la la" and trying to cover Phoebe's ears when Ned and Olivia's conversation got a little too adult.
The speculation is that they're going to pair Hudson with Josslyn. No way is anyone going to root for that.
Just when we thought Trina didn't know enough people's secrets...
No, for real, why is Drew offering to help Curtis? Also, it doesn't matter if he does. It doesn't matter who the driver was! Even if it were Isaiah, that doesn't excuse Curtis assaulting him!
If I were Josslyn, I absolutely would have moved the spotlight off of myself by telling Michael all about Carly's new boyfriend.

Just before Curtis' trial begins, Jordan urges Portia to help steer things so they go in Curtis' favor. At the same time, Martin tries to convince Molly to agree to a deal rather than making a messy situation even messier. Both of the women decline, so the trial begins, with Molly simply stating that Curtis broke the law and should face consequences, while Martin pretends it's a fact that Isaiah was the mystery driver. Not much happens when Lucas and Joe testify, but when Portia has her turn, Martin brings up the fact that she hooked up with Isaiah while married to Curtis. Lucy wants Serena to seduce Michael so he'll eventually give up his Deception shares. She then worries that she's being a bad mother and asks Felicia for her input. Felicia points out that Serena has free will, and if she's agreed to the scheme, she must really want to help. Lucy thinks that Serena and Michael would actually make a good couple, but for some reason, when Serena goes to approach Michael for the first time, she has a meet cute with Brennan instead. Willow has fully convinced herself that she's going to get more time with her kids, and she advises Jacinda to distance herself from them. Jacinda barely has to do anything to make herself the bigger person, and she tells Willow that she's going to try to keep the peace. Brennan tries to talk Willow out of having Drew's shooting reopened, but there's no way anyone can get through to her about that. Michael and Jacinda see them talking and wonder if that connection is something to worry about. Tracy tries to get Brook to leave town with her for a few days so she isn't tempted to interrupt Curtis' trial with the announcement that she was the mystery driver. Brook feels responsible for Isaiah's condition, as if the accident is the only reason Curtis punched him. Tracy gets her to think about all the things she would risk losing if she came clean. Brook acknowledges that that would probably be the end of her and Chase, so it's in her best interest to keep the secret. Ava and Sonny fight over which of them is to blame for Ethan's sudden departure.
"The car accident is irrelevant." EXACTLY! Thank you, Molly.
I hate to say this, but I agree with Martin that six months of community service is an acceptable sentence. Jail time for hitting someone seems extreme.
Lucy's scheme feels a lot like when Carly used Brook to try to break up Dante and Lulu. And that turned out great for everyone!
Never mind that Lucy's daughter could end up with her ex-husband's grandson. Let's talk about how Scott's daughter could end up with Sonny's son.
"So you're saying I owe you." I mean...you do. You might be in prison right now if it weren't for Brennan. Stop being nasty to your partner in crime, Willow.
"Ethan left town because Sonny asked him to kill Drew" is quite the reach, Ava.

Various people take the stand at Curtis' trial, mostly talking about the car accident. In the end, Martin argues that Curtis was justified in hitting Isaiah, while Molly points out that there's no proof that Isaiah was the mystery driver, and that Curtis' actions shouldn't be excused. Willow is upset with Nina for going to Brennan with complaints about her actions. Nina is equally upset about Willow shaking things up and risking the truth about Drew's shooting coming out. Jacinda asks Ezra to bring her some pills she left at his place so she can self-medicate to deal with the fact that Willow got a restraining order to keep her from the kids. It's a lie, as she uses the pills to drug Willow. After some truly unnecessary scenes with Brennan, Serena introduces herself to Michael and is straightforward about coming to town because Lucy is upset about him having Deception shares. Michael promises that he's going to do whatever's in the company's best interest. Also, he thinks Tracy will be the bigger obstacle. Jason talks to Tracy about his decision to leave the mob, and she notes that he's giving Danny what his parents tried to give him. Even better, he's finally fulfilling their wishes for him after all these years. Jason worries that it'll be too little too late, but Tracy has a positive outlook. Sonny tells Dante that Jason quit, partly because of what went down between them before his arrest, and how it made him rethink his life. Dante admits that he always felt better about Sonny's safety knowing that Jason was there to look after him. Sonny reveals that he's planning to walk away from the business, too. Laura has a bunch of pointless scenes, first with Lucy (talking about Kevin and Serena), then with Ezra (talking about how he shouldn't get mixed up in the whole Michael/Willow/Jacinda mess), and later with Brennan (talking about Sidwell and why he's still in town).
Molly is a rock star. On the other hand, Martin comes across as someone whose role model is Billy Flynn from Chicago.
I feel like Jacinda needs some kind of adult supervision.
What was the point of the Brennan/Serena scenes?
Why would Jason think that Tracy would be anything but happy about him quitting?

Jacinda tells Michael that she's set in motion some sort of embarrassing public moment for Willow. He's not happy about that, since despite his feelings about her, she's still his children's mother. Jacinda seems unaware that the kids are home with Willow unexpectedly, and after she's finished her drugged coffee, they're about to get in the car. As if things weren't already tense enough after the first day of the trial, Curtis makes everything worse by being a jerk to Isaiah. Stella's hopes that Curtis and Portia will be able to put their problems aside for him are basically a pipe dream at this point. Curtis thinks he's admirable for fighting to stay with Desmond, and he doesn't get Marshall's very pointed hint to keep the peace. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth about his court experience, acknowledging that he didn't keep his cool like he'd wanted. He's worried that if Curtis isn't convicted, everything will get worse. Ava and Drew bond over hating Sonny and team up to stop him from taking Avery from Ava (something he hasn't actually indicated he plans to do). Hudson turns out to work for Jax, who has embarked on a sailing trip around the world and appointed Josslyn CEO of his company without saying anything to her about it. Hudson doesn't accept Josslyn's reasonable excuses about already having a job and not knowing anything about business, and he thinks she's an idiot for not being happy to have such an amazing opportunity fall into her lap. Anna talks to Joe about his first few weeks on the job, making it sound like she wants to gauge his job satisfaction and impression of Dante. Really, though, it seems like she wants to know if he thinks Cassius is the bad guy she thinks he is. Molly feels bad for having to question Jordan in court, but Jordan thinks it could have been worse, and she appreciates that Molly didn't leave her open to uncomfortable questions. In even better news for Jordan, she and Anna reconnect, so now she has someone to confide in about the Curtis/Isaiah/Portia mess.
Congratulations, Ezra – I think Jacinda's about to be single again.
I need someone to tell Curtis that he's the villain of this story, not the hero.
The idea of Drew and Ava hooking up is completely insane while also making total sense.
Since the previews show Josslyn talking to Carly on Monday, my guess is that Carly's behind this new CEO job (or Josslyn will think she is).

Jacinda admits to Michael that she put molly in Willow's coffee. She thinks that Willow will just embarrass herself while working, but Michael worries that she'll drive somewhere and crash. He rushes to Nina's place, where Willow has traded an evening out with the kids for an in-home dance party. For the first time in ages, she and Michael are able to interact without any animosity. Lulu reluctantly gives Charlotte permission to move in with Valentin, hoping that some distance between Charlotte and Rocco will help them patch things up. Rocco's mad that Charlotte's seemingly turning her back on their mother. Laura can tell that he's more upset that she's leaving him, and he confides that he feels like she's been choosing Danny over him. While Charlotte and Danny talk about their relationships with their fathers, Rocco and Scout bond over feeling like their parents don't give them enough independence. Drew catches Danny and Scout together at the Metro Court pool, and Jason has to stop him from yelling at Danny. Scout has started standing up to her father, but she doesn't really have any power here. Drew uses the danger of Jason's job as the reason he doesn't want Scout around Danny, and he doesn't buy that Jason leaving his job will fix that. He vows to keep his daughter from anyone connected to Sonny and Jason (which means he won't be happy about Scout and Rocco hanging out). Anna tries to ignore Peter as he urges her to use Felicia in whatever he wants her to do. Britt asks Anna to find out for Obrecht what actually happened to Cassius, but Anna knows that the WSB will never give her any useful information. Britt lashes out at her, calling her useless. Anna gives in to Peter's prodding and gets Felicia to tell her that she's been helping Britt get back on her feet. Peter's next instructions are for Anna to make up with Britt and offer her help so Britt will owe her. Carly confirms to Josslyn that she told Jax about her job at the WSB, but she swears she didn't know anything about him leaving his company in her care. Valentin cautions Josslyn to be careful about who she appoints as interim CEO, since plenty of people would love to raid the company (including him). He doesn't think she gets what a big responsibility she's been given. Tristan guesses that Britt and Anna have both been through a lot because of the WSB. He tells Britt that one of the reasons he left was the bureau's tendency to ruin people's lives. He's more sympathetic than Britt was expecting, and he assures her that she'll be able to put her life back together. Brook tries to keep a poker face as Trina talks to her, Chase, and Gio about her parents' issues and the accident. Chase decides to look into the crash to find out who the mystery driver was.
I'm not saying that Willow should be using recreational party drugs on a regular basis, but she's definitely more palatable when she does.
"How am I going to survive giving up my daughter?" Okay, drama queen. Tone it down.
Now Drew is pretending that he doesn't want Danny around Scout because of Jason's mob ties? Please, he's just petty.
They're not putting Rocco and Scout together, are they? They're like siblings!

Willow doesn't remember what happened the night before, so Nina has to tell her that Michael came over and suspected that she was high. They put together that Jacinda must have drugged Willow, and though Nina thinks that Michael wasn't in on it, Willow doesn't. She vows to use the incident to get full custody of the kids. Jacinda's disturbed by the disaster she might have caused, but she thinks she'll get away with drugging Willow, and that Michael won't be punished. He disagrees, and he tells her they have to break up. He also advises her to leave town, even giving her money to start over somewhere else. She doubts that they would have lasted anyway, but she appreciates the respect he showed her through their relationship. Serena tells Lucy that she thinks Michael is genuine about his intentions for Deception, and they might not need his shares after all. Lucy introduces her to Cody, who confides to Molly that he expected not to like his sister, thanks to his past resentment over her getting all of Dominique's inheritance. Now, thanks to his relationship with Molly, he has a much better outlook. Josslyn wants to go back out in the field, but Brennan insists that she be cleared psychologically, as he's sure that the whole Cullum/Cassius mess left her with some damage. She tries to use her sudden CEO status to pressure him, but Brennan just focuses on the fact that her father decided that someone with zero business experience should run his multimillion-dollar company. Sidwell signed a plea deal off-screen and is headed to prison. Molly admits to Cody that she's disappointed that she didn't get to have her career-making moment. Valentin asks Jordan to help him figure out which of Sidwell's assets he should snap up. Emma is learning the hard way that dating an up-and-coming star is kind of inconvenient.
I think it's safe to say that, no matter how many people hate Willow (and that's a lot), no one feels bad for Jacinda.
On top of not thinking through the potential consequences, Jacinda didn't seem to anticipate how easily this could be traced back to her.
The only thing that could make me care about shenanigans with Jax's company is if Jerry is involved.
So that's it for Sidwell? How anticlimactic.

Willow can't confirm that Michael was involved in her drugging, and he's able to appease her a little, offering her more time with the kids for the rest of the week. Still, she thinks this is a slam dunk to get her full custody. Gio tells Kai and Trina that he heard part of their argument and Willow's threat to take the kids. They rush to Michael and offer to help him turn the tables. Once he learns that they were there when Drew was shot and know that Willow was responsible, he comes up with a plan that will serve all three of them. Portia admits to Isaiah that her life would be a lot easier if Curtis went to prison, and she's worried that if he doesn't, he'll try to mess with their relationship and change their custody arrangement. Still, for her children's sakes, she knows it would be better if Curtis stayed a free man. Drew tells Martin that his ultimate plan is to take down Sonny, and one of the most important steps involves winning some of Sidwell's assets at auction. Sonny is also focused on the auction, fully aware that Drew will be his main competition. He tells Ric that Jason's out of the mob, so he needs Ric to take over as the person who gives him hard truths. Jordan has decided to stay in the corporate world and use what she learned from working for Sidwell to get ahead. Curtis is optimistic that he'll be able to spend that future with her after being acquitted. Rocco worries that he depends too much on his parents to fix his problems. Sonny tries to reassure him, but it's spending time with Scout that lifts his mood the most. It lifts hers, too, since she can't get anywhere with convincing Drew to let her see her other family.
Does anyone on this show actually know what proof is?
I don't see how this Michael/Willow thing ends with anything other than a mutually-assured-destruction stalemate, just like with Drew and Willow.
If Jordan wants to be a CEO, she should talk to Josslyn.
Yeah, I'm sure Curtis will put the crash behind him if he gets acquitted. I'm sure he'll never bring it up again.
I really enjoy Scout standing up to Drew. Sam would be proud.

Curtis is found guilty and given a ten-year sentence with the possibility of parole two years in. Stella and Marshall aren't optimistic about what this will do to the family, even as Portia promises to help Curtis maintain his relationship with Desmond. Michael had Kai and Trina sign affidavits about Willow shooting Drew, and he'll be holding them over Willow's head to control her. She tries to attack him with a rolling pin (obviously the actions of a sane, reasonable woman), then threatens to get Jacinda to turn on him. Michael offers to keep their custody arrangement the way it is and let her have access to the kids, but she'll have to move back into the gatehouse so he can keep an eye on her. Hudson nags Josslyn about choosing an acting CEO, but she won't let him bully her. Anna follows Peter's advice to make nice with Britt by offering to find out more about Cassius' death for her. They'll have to meet privately to discuss it, and then, Peter hopes, Anna will kill Britt. Emma worries that Gio's new career and impending fame will drive them apart. Anna tries to reassure her that they'll be able to make things work, even if their relationship isn't a conventional one. Rocco complains to Britt that his parents are being annoying, like, buddy, you fled the country. You don't get to whine that they're keeping tabs on where you are. Britt tells him that she's not dying and admits that she regrets how she treated people when she thought she was.
Ten years for one punch? Dang.
Is this going to end with Drew somehow arranging to have Curtis released early?
I need Michael and Willow to stop standing so close to each other. It feels like they're about five seconds away from hate sex.
I assume Michael secured some kind of protection for Kai and Trina.
In addition to being a jerk, Hudson is an idiot for insulting his boss' daughter to her face.
If JJE is going to fall apart so quickly without a CEO, it's not a very good company.

Tracy is unsurprisingly against Michael moving Willow back into the gatehouse, not just because she hates Willow but also because it might cause trouble for Brook and Chase. Michael plays the "what would Monica say?" card to get his way. Alexis makes a fruitless attempt to get Drew to let her stay in Scout's life. Brennan intervenes, pointedly suggesting that Drew play nice and not risk anything coming out about him that he wouldn't want to be made known. Alexis asks for details, and Brennan is open to helping her, but first he wants information about JJE. Scout confides to Rocco that her life was a lot better when Drew was incapacitated, since she was able to be with her mother's family. He encourages her to pretend she's following her father's rules, then do whatever she wants. Danny is frustrated with Drew as well, so Charlotte suggests that they concoct something that would ruin him and use it to blackmail him. Danny doesn't want to do anything that would hurt Scout, but he can't resist the thought of getting ahead of Drew. Carly supports Jason's decision to leave the mob and doesn't think he should feel guilty about the times his loyalty to Sonny made him put Sonny ahead of her. She suggests that he find a role at ELQ. Justine lets Sonny know that Sidwell is on his way to Pentonville, and she sure hopes that nothing happens to him there, because people would automatically pin it on Sonny, which would make her look bad. He tells her that he's leaving the mob, which he thinks means they can go public with their relationship. She says no, since there's always the chance that the PCPD will bring a case against him for something he did in the past. Sonny decides it's better to keep sneaking around than end things altogether. Molly and Cody are filler.
It would be hilarious if Drew finally got taken down for something because of Danny and Charlotte.
Sonny, you're involved with a woman who doesn't believe you when you say you'll leave Sidwell alone and who doesn't want to make your relationship public. What are you doing, man?
Now I get why they rushed Sidwell's storyline along – it's so he can interact with Curtis at Pentonville.
I really need Cody to get a plotline so we can stop hearing about James.

Carly presses Hudson to work harder to get Josslyn to choose JJE over the WSB. Lucas overhears and tries to get Carly to accept that Josslyn gets to make her own decisions, and Carly shouldn't meddle, just like Bobbie never meddled in their lives. Josslyn asks Michael to help her choose an acting CEO for JJE. He agrees if she'll go easy on Willow. She's frustrated that he's siding with Carly about not wanting her in the WSB, and she finds it condescending when he says that she doesn't understand because she's not a parent. Hudson bugs her again about the CEO list, then resists letting Michael take a look at it. Josslyn and I are both very much over it. Brook is upset to learn that Willow's moving back into the gatehouse, since she was just starting to feel like everything with her and Chase is perfect. Tracy sees this as her way of confirming that Brook and Chase's marriage is solid. Later, she asks Yuri to keep an eye on Willow and tell her if she and Chase spend any time alone together. She's too late, as Chase and Willow have just spent the whole episode together, moving her stuff back in. It's all innocent, but it just reinforces what Brook has already vented to Tracy about: Chase never sees anything wrong with Willow. Serena gently pushes back against Lucy's plan to have her get involved with Michael romantically. Instead, she thinks they should prove through hard work that they deserve his Deception shares. Lucas and Joe are basically friends now, which is good, because it looks like Lucy is leasing them the same apartment.
I have no confidence that Lucas got through to Carly, but I really hope he did, because I'm so sick of her complaining.
Instead of having Yuri tell her if Willow and Chase are ever alone together, Tracy should have him chaperone them.
Michael couldn't have given Brook a heads-up about Willow? Jerk.
If Lucy's leasing the same place to two different people without realizing it, she's not the hotshot real estate agent everyone keeps saying she is.
August 18th, 2026
Anna opens up a little to Sonny about her recent trauma, and he advises her to see a psychiatrist. She asks him to sell her some land so she can build a "retreat," which seems to be code for "house where she can murder Britt without anyone hearing." Hudson continues being annoying, and Josslyn continues having to put up with him. Unfortunately, he meets Brook, Chase, and Phoebe, and quickly seems to figure out who the baby's birth parents are. Britt is happy to hear that Jason is leaving the mob, but she doesn't think it'll be as easy as he makes it out to be. Ava isn't sure that Lucas should be making a big move right now, since he's still mourning Marco, but she's supportive of his decision to try to move on with his life. He and Joe haven't realized yet that they've both leased the same place. Three things give Trina a brief distraction from Curtis' sentencing: working with Gio, Quinn's sudden friendliness, and baby pictures. Joe seems suspicious about Lucy's statement about Willow the night of the crash, now that Drew has testified that she was at home the whole time. Lucy brushes it off and implies that Drew lied to support Curtis so he can get a favor in the future. Chase makes it clear to Brook that he's going to be more observant of her Willow-related feelings so they don't end up at odds over her again.
How weird that Anna knows about Sonny's plans to leave the mob but Jason and Carly don't.
No way is Hudson going to put together who Phoebe is that easily. NO WAY.
Why are we doing this stalking plot? Everything else about Trina's life is so much more interesting.
Joe must be rich if he can afford the same two-bedroom apartment as Lucas.

Kai finally resigns from his internship, and Willow confronts him over his affidavit and tells him to stop spreading "false" information about her. He tears into her for shooting Drew, angry that she's getting away with it (especially when Curtis is facing ten years in prison for one punch). She kind of threatens to go to the police to get Kai in trouble, but she knows Michael has all the power here. Trina's relieved that Kai has finally cut off ties with Willow and thinks that they can put everything behind them. Oh, Trina. Ric wants to propose to Elizabeth, and Sonny easily guesses that it's not just because he loves her and wants to nail down a commitment. Ric definitely sees Dante as a threat, and when he finds his nephew with Elizabeth, getting a pantsless medical exam, he flips out. Nina asks Brennan to dig up dirt on Michael to counter the power he's exerting over Willow. Brennan refuses and advises her to back off of Willow's drama so she doesn't get dragged down with her. Willow calls just then and Nina rushes to her side, so I don't think she heard anything Brennan said. Michael has too much on his plate to take over Aurora while Curtis is gone, so he asks for interim CEO suggestions. Curtis nominates Jordan, and Michael needs no convincing, so congratulations on your new job, Jordan. Drew wants Ava's help figuring out which of Sidwell's assets he should bid on. When she learns that he's up against both Sonny and Valentin, she's more than happy to work with him. I guess Brook never told Simon that Gio and Trina aren't on board for his marketing plan, because Gio has to break it to him that they won't pretend they're dating. Emma worries that that will jeopardize their shot at making it big. Donna's in charge of the invitations for a big family barbecue, and she doesn't accept Sonny's weak attempts to talk her out of inviting Justine.

After making a fool of himself, Ric summons Lulu and tries to get her to agree with him that something's going on between Dante and Elizabeth. She laughs that off, but he thinks they need to step in before the loves of their lives (his words) move on with each other. Meanwhile, Elizabeth laments Ric's jealousy and worries that it'll drive them apart again. Josslyn sees Jason and Britt together and reveals that Britt knew who Cassius was the whole time. She tears into Britt for selling her out to Cassius and warns Jason that she'll likely do the same to him. Jason isn't happy that Britt kept something so big from him, but it's not a dealbreaker. Lulu panics when she learns that Charlotte went out on a boat with Danny at night, and Valentin's casual attitude about it just makes things worse. He and Carly suggest that Lulu get a hobby so she has something else to fill her time. Lulu thinks that Carly's a hypocrite, considering how involved she's gotten in Josslyn's life, and Carly realizes that she needs to go easier on her daughter. Alexis gives Curtis some good advice about how to get through his time in prison, especially when it comes to temptations and bad decisions. Isaiah's satisfied with how things turned out for Curtis, but he can't exactly celebrate. He decides to drop the civil suit to try to ease a little of the tension of the situation. Anna meets Tristan and quickly pegs him as a former field agent. They bond over being ex-WSB and she tells him that she's come to prioritize her family over her job. Next, Tristan meets Josslyn, and when he praises her recent triumphs, she and Anna both react less enthusiastically than he probably expected. Anna cautions Josslyn not to lose herself in her job.
Maybe Ric really has changed. In the past, he would have gotten drunk and hooked up with someone else by now.
I appreciate how Elizabeth basically said, "Yeah, that guy's crazy" and then kept doing what she was doing. I guess all her years of parenting have taught her how to handle a tantrum.
Interesting that Josslyn said that Cassius did more for her than Britt did. It clashes with the story she's backing that he was the evil mastermind behind everything.
I can't believe that Lulu's freakout is what's getting Carly to back off of Josslyn.

Curtis reluctantly says goodbye to Jordan, Trina, and Desmond before turning himself in to start his sentence. Sonny visits Sidwell, who finds it very interesting that Sonny didn't kill him and has Justine in a bind. Sonny's smug about how things have turned out for Sidwell, while Sidwell makes it clear that this isn't the end of their interactions. Drew wants to get back into Aurora, which Michael, of course, has no patience for. Jordan's willing to let him get a little involved, mainly because it means she can keep an eye on him. Rocco overhears Danny and Charlotte scheming against Drew and predicts that they'll just make things worse. Charlotte agrees, then tells Danny that she's just letting Rocco think they've dropped the issue so he doesn't get caught in the middle. Drew crashes a breakfast between Ava and Portia to continue his (totally legitimate and sincere, I'm sure) amends tour. Portia isn't ready to forgive him and probably never will be, but she's find with ending their rivalry and just avoiding each other. Still, she thinks Ava is crazy to want to be his ally. Rocco worries that Drew will be upset that he's spending time with Scout, but he also doesn't want to sneak around. Laura gives him a pass on the sneaking around, but she advises him to stop if Drew makes an objection. Laura and Lulu are mostly filler, with the only significant piece of their scenes being Lulu admitting that she might never have another great love in her life.
No goodbye scenes with Curtis and Marshall or Stella? Disappointing. It also would have been nice to see Curtis and Portia interact.
Obviously they're going to pick photogenic babies for a TV show, but Desmond really is very cute.
Sidwell is way too cocky not to have something up his sleeve.
Again, Rocco needs to let Danny and Charlotte be idiots and fail. They'll never learn anything otherwise.

Willow skips a meeting that would have affected the WSB's budget, then tells Brennan she'll only go back to the committee once he gets her dirt she can use on Michael. Brennan reminds her that he got rid of evidence against her, so she owes him. He thinks he has the power here, but he has no clue that Willow recorded their conversation. Josslyn's next WSB assignment is to take on the CEO role at JJE. She tells Brennan she won't do it, but he reminds her that, you know, she has no authority here and can either do the job she's been assigned or resign. Josslyn realizes that the bureau must be focusing on JJE for some reason. Valentin asks Jason to meet with him and Carly so he can make a case for ELQ rehiring him. Somehow, he thinks that Jason will advocate for him, despite the fact that Jason has no patience for him and has nothing to do with ELQ. Hudson gets to know Brook better, which allows him to spend more time with Phoebe. Tracy warns Willow to keep her distance from Chase and follow all of Michael's rules or face Tracy's wrath. Brook appreciates it, while Willow just blows her off. Carly asks Anna if Josslyn has any kind of future with the WSB. Anna has a flashback to her time in captivity, freaks out a little, flees, and has a panic attack in an elevator while Valentin wonders what the heck is going on with her. Lucas and Joe learn that they've leased the same apartment without anyone realizing. Joe concedes it to Lucas, since he signed first, but Lucas feels bad about everything Joe would have to go through while looking for a new place and invites him to stay there temporarily. While she's away visiting Kevin and Ace, Laura plans to hand off some of her responsibilities to Ezra. Anna and Justine have some concerns, and Ezra doesn't help by suggesting that they team up to take down Sonny. Laura starts questioning her decision, but Ezra hopes to prove to her that he's a good guy, and to Anna and Justine that his connection to Sidwell isn't anything to worry about.
I don't like it when Willow gets smug. It means she has too much power.
I know she's annoying, Brennan, but let's tone down the aggression.
Valentin going back to ELQ is ridiculous. His using Jason to get back in is even more ridiculous.
What is it about Hudson that makes people keep telling him things he shouldn't know?

Valentin gets Anna through her panic attack, and she confides that she hasn't truly felt peace since she met Faison decades ago. Valentin thinks she has PTSD and may have gone back to work too soon. Anna admits to having some psychological struggles, but she doesn't want anyone to question her mental stability. Then a dead guy tells her to kill anyone who gets in her way on her quest to kill Britt. Hudson is suspicious that Josslyn only wants to take the reins at JJE so she can purposely tank it. She assures him that she wouldn't do that to the employees, and that he can trust her to follow through when she makes a commitment. Later, he calls someone to report that Josslyn took the job – but apparently he didn't want her to, as he says that he needs to get her to change her mind. Jason tries to reassure Carly that she can help Josslyn through anything she goes through because of the WSB. He warns her not to interfere, since she'll just push Josslyn away, and though Carly obviously knows that, it's Carly, so she probably won't listen. Ric sees Dante and Elizabeth together again and is on the verge of spiraling. Lulu talks him down, urging him to just enjoy being with Elizabeth instead of worrying about whether things will last. He plays it a little bit cooler and is rewarded with two dates. I guess I jumped the gun on saying that Lucas invited Joe to stay with him, since he was really just telling Joe he could leave his stuff in the apartment. Lulu asks for clarification, and Lucas decides that Joe can stay, too. I'm pretty sure Lulu suspects that their temporary-roommate status is going to lead to something more. Like Britt, Obrecht wants to ask Anna to find information on Cassius. Britt stops her so she can't risk the arrangement she's already made with Anna. This kind of backfires, though, as now Obrecht has time to bug Britt about her relationship. She also sternly tells Britt not to associate with the WSB.
Hudson is one thing, but Carly's not going to buy that Josslyn is suddenly doing a complete 180 about JJE.
"Lulu, you're a genius." Bro, all she did was tell you to act like a normal person.
Who wants to remind Ric that Dante will likely be at the big family barbecue, too?

Willow lets Nina know that she recorded Brennan and will make use if it if necessary. Nina confronts Brennan for threatening her daughter and orders him to find dirt on Michael. Brennan warns that Willow will keep making horrible decisions, and Nina will be collateral damage. A bunch of people hear her saying that Brennan will be facing his own destruction if he doesn't do what Willow wants. Kai tells Alexis everything that's happened with Michael, Willow, and the affidavits, then shares his theory that Willow tried to drown Drew. He's worried that Willow will try to pin Drew's shooting on him or Trina, but Alexis assures him that her notes from their conversation about that months ago will protect him. Then she goes to Willow's office, announces that she's known for months that Willow shot Drew, and threatens to go public. Carly is surprised by Josslyn's announcement that she's leaving the WSB to run JJE. I'm 90 percent sure that Carly has already put together that this new job is actually an assignment from the bureau. Emma, Gio, and Josslyn show Trina their support as she comes to terms with the fact that her father is in prison. Trina's curious about Josslyn's sudden decision to take a leave of absence from the WSB, and Josslyn has to indicate that she can't answer any questions. Donna tells Michael that she secretly invited Justine to Sonny's big family barbecue. Brennan tries to question Felicia about Anna, but Felicia is completely unhelpful. Felicia tells Carly about Brennan's questioning and asks why he and Carly split up. When she hears that it was because Brennan recruited Josslyn, she tells Carly that she has the right to try to protect her daughter. Emma's glad to hear that Josslyn is (allegedly) distancing herself from the WSB, at least temporarily, but she laments that Anna can't walk away as easily. Tristan tells Isaiah that he's ex-WSB but left because the good outweighed the bad. Isaiah can't believe that anyone would ever want to work for the bureau. Tristan concedes that they do some good things, and the people in charge have to make some difficult decisions. Sonny, Michael, Jordan, and Drew are all filler.
Brennan is so going to get murdered.

Willow plays the victim like always, saying that she's only done horrible things over the past few years because of her bad upbringing and because Drew and Michael have pushed her to the brink. She hopes to get some empathy from Alexis, but Alexis won't help her justify her actions. She'll keep quiet about what she knows about Drew's shooting, but only if Willow leaves Kai and Trina alone. Justine accidentally crashes Sonny's family barbecue, thinking it's just a dinner with the two of them and Donna. Everyone brushes it off, and Justine pretends that she has somewhere to be, but Donna begs her to stay, and apparently no one ever says no to Donna. Ava and Sonny snipe at each other over Avery, and she acts like he's overly mean to her and she never talks badly about him. She goes crying to Drew, who's already fully motivated to go after Sonny but wants to neutralize Brennan first. He gets Ava to agree to keep Brennan busy while he searches Brennan's hotel room for the incriminating evidence against him. Gio and Emma overhear Michael and Brook bickering about Willow moving into the gatehouse, and Michael saying that Willow might not be to blame if Brook and Chase are still having problems. Gio jumps to his mother's defense, then worries that he embarrassed her. Ric manages to keep his cool while Dante and Elizabeth are in close proximity to each other, and Elizabeth notices and appreciates it. Rocco doesn't want to hang out with his family, so he's more than happy to meet up with Scout after Drew cancels his plans with her to meet with Ava. Kai lets Trina know what he discussed with Alexis, trying to reassure her that Willow can't touch them. He wishes they'd gone to the police months ago. Chase goes back to Molly about Curtis and Jordan's crash, saying he wants to help them get closure. Molly is skeptical that Isaiah was the mystery driver, but she doesn't have any other ideas, and she thinks Chase should drop the subject.
I loved everything Alexis said to Willow today, but I wished she'd called Willow out for blaming her actions on Drew, Michael, and anyone else convenient.
I can't believe Michael didn't give Sonny a heads-up about Justine coming by.
I hope Scout finds out that Drew ditched her to scheme with Ava. I hope she finds out exactly who he is.
Please, Gio. Brook can more than take care of herself.

Drew gets a flash drive from Martin that will screw with the Metro Court's security system and allow him to break into Brennan's room. Nina tries to talk Ava out of aligning with Drew, and though Ava brushes that off, she starts to take it seriously when Drew gives her a sleeping pill to slip in Brennan's drink. He convinces her that he's her best hope for taking down Sonny, and she dutifully drugs the drink. Brennan confirms to Carly and Valentin that Josslyn's working at JJE on the WSB's orders. He warns Carly not to interfere, since she's already caused enough problems at the bureau, starting with hooking up with Valentin. He also presumes that she only got together with Valentin to make Brennan jealous, and it won't last because Valentin will always put Anna first. Carly decides that she's going to trust Valentin and not worry about that. Sonny tells Laura that he's leaving the mob, and with Sidwell out of the picture, she should have peace in town. However, she thinks his boiling rivalry with Drew is a big threat in itself. She wants to discuss it right now, just as Drew is about to search Brennan's room. Willow whines to Chase about how no one likes her, or whatever, just solidifying his support for her. Michael meets Serena at the Metro Court pool to discuss Deception business, because nothing says "I am serious about my new corporate job" like wearing a bikini. Nina sees them together and accuses Michael of getting together with another sex worker. Serena lectures her on being unsupportive of sex workers when her magazine is supposed to be all about empowering women. The warden at Pentonville is concerned about Curtis' safety, so he's arranged for him to have a cellmate who's under security. It's a fair guess that that cellmate is Sidwell. Anna wonders why Curtis didn't take the plea deal that would have given him minimal jail time. Jordan thinks he focused on getting revenge on Isaiah because he couldn't be mad at her for being the one who actually caused the accident. She laments that she didn't try harder to steer Curtis in a better direction rather than backing his decision because she felt bad about not backing him in the past.
There's been a lot of drugging lately. Maybe we can move away from that?
It pains me to say this, but...Chase, put a shirt on.
I haven't formed an opinion on Serena yet, but her calling out Nina for looking down on sex workers is definitely a point in her favor.
I CANNOT WAIT for Lucy to find out that Nina called Serena a hooker.

Ava does her best to keep Brennan busy, though the hardest part is getting him to drink the drink she drugged. Laura tries to mediate for Sonny and Drew, hoping they won't go to war over the piers Sonny wants back. She fails, but she does delay Drew from sneaking into Carly's office to shut down the hotel's security system, then snooping around Brennan's room. Ava has to meet him there to warn him that Brennan is on his way. Danny and Charlotte plan to break into Drew's office and look for something incriminating that they can use against him. Carly and Valentin beat them to it and discover Drew's full business plan. They consider giving it to Michael or the Quartermaines but decide to use it themselves. Their plans foiled, Danny and Charlotte head to the pool for an after-hours swim and find a body that it's a safe bet is Brennan's. Curtis may not be happy to be bunking with Sidwell, but Sidwell thinks they share common ground, as they both did what they needed to do after being backed into a corner. He warns that Curtis will be caught up in whatever Sonny has planned for him. Chase and Willow realize that they're standing way too close each other for people who are just supposed to be friends, and they quickly fix that. She tells him that she depends on him too much and needs to stop leaning on their friendship. Scout and Rocco hear them talking, and Scout thinks that Willow still has feelings for Chase. Chase has also picked up on Willow's vibes and tells Dante that he thinks she's still in love with him. He's not sure how to be her friend or how to live in such close vicinity to her. Meanwhile, Willow laments to Britt that she thinks her chance to be happy died when her relationship with Chase ended. Britt says that she thought she lost her shot at happiness, too, but now she's gotten another, so Willow shouldn't give up. Dante asks Britt if there's anything he should know about Rocco and why he's been so distance. She actually gives him some good insight and tries to reassure him that things are okay.
Nina's definitely going to be accused of killing Brennan. Ironically, if it were anyone else, she would ask Brennan for help.
Was the sleeping pill really necessary? Either drug Brennan or have Ava distract him; doing both wasn't necessary.
Also probably unnecessary: Valentin wearing gloves while searching Drew's office.
Did Charlotte say that she and Danny stole Chase's truck? Are they insane??
